Salary Scale: Ksh. 38,270 – Ksh. 51,170 p.m. (CSG 10)
House Allowance: Ksh.16, 500 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.5, 000p.m
Leave allowance: As existing in the Civil Service
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year
Medical Cover: As provided by the government
Terms of Service: Three (3) years contract

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-

• a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C, with at least a C in Biology, English or Kiswahili and a C- in any other two science Subjects;
• a Kenya Registered Nurse or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse Diploma from a recognized medical training college;
• a Higher Diploma in one of the following disciplines:- Kenya Registered Peri-operative Nursing, Kenya Registered Critical Care Nursing, Kenya Registered Pediatrics/Neonatal Nursing or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
• been registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
• been in possession of a Valid Practicing License; and
• good interpersonal and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

• maintaining records on patients health condition and care;
• ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;
• evaluating health care outcomes;
• preparing individualized reports;
• planning and implementing interventions; and
• implementing recommendation of research findings for improvement of related nursing care
