Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Strategic Planning and Monitoring Branch who also serves as the Secretary of the Strategic Plan Task Force (SPTF), the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Prepare the strategic planning process in the whole-of-the-house approach;
Prepare the development of monitoring mechanism for Strategic Plan 2026-29;
Organize engagement of stakeholders in the preparatory process of the Strategic Plan 2026-29 on a continuous basis;
Participate in all meetings of the SPTF and dialogues with the Member States, UN System, and other stakeholders – online, and when required, in person, supporting the Strategic Plan Task Force;
Liaise with the Secretary of the SPTF seeking clarifications once issues are raised by the participants;
Contribute to preparation of reports of all Dialogue sessions and collaborate with the Strategic Plan Task Force providing inputs to the drafting of SP2026-2029.
Qualifications/special skills
A minimum advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in sustainable development studies, public administration, urban development, or a related field in development studies, or international development is required.
A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
