Sub Sahara Africa Regional Material Manager - Oilfield Services at Baker Hughes

As a SSA Region Materials Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with other managers to determine supply needs and complete forecasting
• working with global process and buyers to order materials according to specifications
• Coordinating and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
• Controlling inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies and Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
• Negotiating with suppliers and maintain relationships
• Keeping detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc, Assist in forecasting to plan future orders

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor is Degree in logistics or related field or equivalent experience (8+ years’ experience).
• Have experience in supply chain and inventory control.
• Have experience of SAP
• Be able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills along with interpersonal and leadership skills
• Have understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Have strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency
• Demonstrate previous experience in an Services, Commercial or Supply Chain role
• Be proficient in MS Office
• Have excellent organizational and leadership skills and A problem-solve
