Duties and Responsibilities 

• Processing of purchase requisition;
• Assisting users in preparing specifications;
• Inviting quotations;
• Participating in tender opening and evaluation;
• Carrying out market surveys and research; 
• Participating in quotation opening and evaluation;
• Processing of purchase orders and expedite process;
• Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
• Receiving of stores and taking them on charge;
• Recommending stores requisition for issuing; 
• Monitoring the movement of stores;
• Checking and verifying issue notes and invoices;
• Receiving and processing supplier’s invoice’s for payment;
• Preparing of periodic stores returns;
• Establishing appropriate re-order level;
• Preparing of requisitions for stock replenishment; 
• Participating in stock taking and reconciliation of records;
• Guiding user departments in identifying stores and equipment for disposal;
• Supervising Warehouses and distribution management; and 
• Complying with the Procurement Act.

Job Requirements 

• Must have served as a Supply Chain Assistant or/in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
• Bachelor’s degree in any the following disciplines: -
• Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies 
• Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Contract 
• Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and
• Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution.
• Good record management skills;
• High Integrity; 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; and 
• Fulfill requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
