Switchboard Design & Estimation Manager at Nationwide Electrical Industries Ltd

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Switchboard Design & Estimation Engineer located in Nairobi County, Kenya. As a Switchboard Design & Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and estimating switchboard and control panel systems based on client requirements. You will also create and interpret technical designs and blueprints, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal design and functionality. Additional duties will include optimizing costs while adhering to standards and specifications, and ensuring compliance with all building and safety codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in switchboard and control panel design, with a specialization in low voltage systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards, including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to draw solutions from complex electrical and mechanical issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with switchboard and control panel manufacturing processes and procedures
• Familiarity with project management software
