System Support Engineer at Afratech

Key responsibilities

• To provide initial technical support to telephone requests and emails from clients.
• To deploy new door lock system installations servers, workstations and program locks and redeploy already existing ones.
• Maintaining existing hardware and software to agreed standards.

Other duties

• Provide technical support and guidance to clients to understand programs, solve problems and generally support client in using software/hardware correctly at the hotel/organization situation.
• Make minor repairs if necessary to hardware equipment and  locks.
• Keep up to date and be abreast with all the technologies developed.
• Make relevant/justified recommendations to clients for improvement of the systems functionality.
• Any other duties assigned by the service manager.

Qualifications.

• Must have Bachelor’s (BSc) in IT, Computer Science, or any equivalent related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years hands on experience in computer hardware installation, trouble shooting and system administration in a busy office.
• Proven team player who meets deadlines and is a good "multi-tasker."
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel countrywide and outside the country.
