Key Responsibilities:

Garment Construction and Alteration:

• Measure clients to ensure proper fit of garments.
• Cut and sew fabric according to patterns or designs, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Alter and repair garments as per customer requests, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting fit.

Customer Service:

• Consult with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on fabric selection, style, and fit.
• Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to garments.
• Maintain strong communication with customers to ensure satisfaction with the finished product.

Fabric and Material Handling:

• Select appropriate materials and tools for each project.
• Handle various fabrics, including delicate and specialty materials, with care and expertise.
• Keep up-to-date with new fabrics, materials, and sewing techniques.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.

Inventory Management:

• Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, and other materials.
• Order new supplies as needed to maintain an adequate stock for ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal training in tailoring or fashion design is preferred.
• Prior atleast 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
