    Talent Partner

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The Unilever Employee Experience Team is focused on putting people first in each end-to-end HR experience to bring smiles to employee faces. As a member of this team, you will work with the Unilever business and HR teams to attract the best talent possible, deliver great quality service to hiring managers, and drive excellent candidate experiences.

    As a Talent Partner, you must be passionate about creating a candidate experience like no other and have the ambition to deliver time and time again. The Talent Partner for East Africa is responsible for delivering best in class recruiting experience to Hiring Managers and candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle. They provide strategic support to the Line Manager and a "more human" experience for candidates. They partner with the HRBP as talent champion for the function(s) to create proactive demand plans and long term external talent pools. While recruitment will focus predominantly on East African markets, you will also recruit for other African markets when required.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Strategic Partnering

    • Leading strategic Talent Acquisition meetings with Line Manager & HRBP to drive end to end conversations on holistic/strategic plan (Contingent Workforce, Internal & External, and new talent economy).
    • Advise Hiring Manager into build, buy, borrow approach for each vacancy
    • Leading forecasting and demand planning discussions against business strategy
    • Developing and providing market insights to influence and determine resourcing decisions
    • In depth business and market knowledge to craft/co-create Job descriptions to engage active and passive talent
    • Attending internal talent forums and accessing data about availability of internal talent to become an internal sourcing channel
    • Managing end to end talent relationship at all levels
    • Trusted & strategic partnering within the business and HR to pro-actively identify resourcing needs and strategies of the function
    • Provide expertise, advise and coaching (E.g.: Assessment)

    Recruitment and Resourcing

    • Enriching candidate experience through analytics and social listening
    • Developing sourcing methods to find the best drivers of talent
    • Utilising digital sourcing tools to develop pipelines of internal and external talent against functional and talent strategies
    • Continuously improving Sourcing strategy with sourcing channel innovation
    • Define and design process continuous improvement
    • Using expert knowledge to identify top talent and create a refined shortlist to share with HRBPS and business
    • Apply diverse talent selection techniques
    • Conducting adhoc and proactive talent mapping upon business requirements
    • Organising, managing and continuously improving proactive talent events (e.g. clearing house)
    • Part of Employer Brand network and Employer Brand advocates
    • Accountable for speed, cost and experience of key metrics through the recruitment cycle
    • Collect candidate / process feedback and input into system to further generate insights and reports
    • Inspiring passive talent about Unilever and delivering an exceptional experience throughout the engagement piece
    • Engage with potential candidates with a proactive plan based on local needs to maintain talent pools
    • Leading local functional specific projects (e.g. diversity.)
    • Conducting recruitment drives and anchoring selection process by coordinating between Hiring Manager & candidates
    • Negotiating and manage verbal offers with candidates after receiving HRBPs inputs
    • Managing the on-boarding process for candidates – from selection to offer acceptance.
    • Work with Africa Hub to complete recruitment administration

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant recruitment experience
    • Experience recruiting from junior to Director level positions
    • Advanced sourcing knowledge and experience using LinkedIn Recruiter tool
    • Meet local education requirements in related field e.g. relevant qualification
    • Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint etc.)
    • Labour market knowledge
    • Forecasting Recruitment needs
    • Talent mapping & other recruitment sourcing strategies
    • Selection techniques (Assessment, Interviews, etc)
    • Client management
    • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
    • Solid customer service and relationship management skills
    • Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively
    • Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities, and deadlines
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
    • Influencing and advisory skills
    • Strong analytical skills
