Team Building Consultant – Zizi Afrique Foundation Half-Year Retreat at Zizi Afrique Foundation

Objectives of the Assignment

• The consultant will be responsible for designing and facilitating an engaging team-building session that achieves the following:
• Strengthen interpersonal connections and relationships among team members.
• Reinforce Zizi Afrique’s core values through experiential and engaging activities.
• Provide a fun and reflective environment that promotes trust, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging.
• Help integrate new staff members into the broader team culture.
• Delivering a fun, energizing, and restorative experience that promotes team cohesion and well-being.
• Leave the team energized and aligned for the second half of the year.

Scope of Work

The consultant will be expected to:

• Design and facilitate a half-day team building session on the afternoon of Friday, 27th June 2025, incorporating games, challenges, and creative group activities.
• Use interactive and inclusive approaches that speak to Zizi Afrique’s values, team diversity, and collaborative spirit.
• Conduct a pre-retreat briefing with the organizing team to align activities with retreat objectives and staff dynamics.
• Provide all materials or props needed for the session. -
• Ensure the session is accessible, participatory, and reflective of Zizi Afrique’s organizational culture.
• Submit a short post-retreat report (2-3 pages) summarizing the activities delivered, observations on team dynamics, and recommendations for follow-up.

Desired Profile of the Consultant

The ideal consultant should have:

• Proven experience in designing and delivering professional team-building sessions for medium-to-large organizations
• Ability to engage diverse teams in a creative, respectful, and energizing manner.
• A strong understanding of organizational culture, group dynamics, and adult learning.
• Ability to incorporate Zizi Afrique’s values and context into the facilitation.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and people skills
• Ability to tailor activities to different learning styles and energy levels
• Experience working with NGOs or mission-driven organizations is an added advantage

Duration and Timing

• The assignment will cover preparatory engagements and a one-day retreat facilitation, with final deliverables due within 5 working days after the retreat.
