Team Leader Warehouse Operations at Gilani's Distributors Ltd

Role Purpose:

The role holder is someone who can efficiently manage warehouse operations, ensure security protocols are followed, and assist with offloading duties as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills. This is a hands-on role that involves both managerial and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
• Train and supervise new & existing warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Implement and enforce safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Develop and implement security procedures to safeguard warehouse facilities, equipment, and inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents and report any suspicious activities promptly.
• Assist with offloading goods from incoming shipments using appropriate equipment and tools.
• Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders or delivery documents.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, quality issues, or discrepancies and report any findings.
• Safely and efficiently transport offloaded goods to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate documentation and proper storage of received goods

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in warehousing, logistics, or security is a plus.
• 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management best practices.
• Familiarity with security procedures, access control systems, and CCTV monitoring.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and another warehouse equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
