    Technical Advisor PMTCT/Medical Officer

    KCCB-ACTS/9/2022/15 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the development and implementation of PMTCT services and activities across all supported health facilities;
    • Support program staff and supported health facilities to strengthen integrated PMTCT facility interventions including for AYP and OVC;
    • Provide support in strengthening the EID, CD4 and VL lab-networks with networked facilities;
    • Collaborate with other technical teams to support program and site teams in implementation of community PMTCT activities including pregnant women mapping;
    • Provide support in implementation of differentiated service delivery models for PMTCT in KCCB ACTS supported sites;
    • Work closely with the S/CHMT and HMTs in identifying training needs in CALHIV, PMTCT, AYP, OVC as well as execution of trainings;
    • Support health facilities in improving quality of services offered through participation in clinical review/switch meetings;
    • Collaborate with facility and project technical teams to monitors on a regular basis the availability of supplies necessary to accomplish project objectives; Performs related work as required and carries out any other essential tasks related to the KCCB ACTS and General Secretariat’s goals that may reasonably be assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    • Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Diploma in Nursing from Kenya Medical Training College or any recognized institution.
    • Higher Diploma Training or Degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB), Clinical Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Nursing) 
    • ART Management training and 3 years experience in HIV Programming and PMTCT.
    • Must be Registered and Licensed with the Clinical Officers Council or Nursing Council of Kenya.
    • Working in a US Grants environment will be an added advantage.

    • Facilitation skills
    • Basic computer skills.
