    Technical Officer-Key Population

    Ref : TOKP/LVCT/08/2022

    Job purpose
    Provide technical assistance to community organizations and county KP focal persons in Key Population(KP) service delivery, including HIV prevention HIV care and treatment in the Dhibiti Project supported areas. 

    Key responsibilities 

    • Collaborate with County focal persons to support effective key population(KP) service delivery within Dhibiti Project Support the key stakeholders to ensure KP program planning, execution, implementation and
    • documentation in line with the national standards Work with county teams to provide mentorship and build capacity of all staff to provide quality and friendly services to KP clients in both DICEs and integrated health facilities Support in development and implementation of county annual and quarterly work plans integrating the work plans for CSOs under the project Facilitate provision of timely communication and feedback to the stakeholders on the progress of program implementation
    • Support CSOs to develop and implement strategies to effectively mobilize KPs to access services through integrated health facilities, existing drop-in centers (DiCEs), and outreach
    • Facilitate and support KP community organizations to undertake hotspots validation and mapping and support & coordinate quality peer education and outreach program
    • Collaborate and support SCHMT to conduct supervision on the implementation of KP program activities Support preparation and submission of KP activity reports and service data as required In consultation with the project leadership and the counties, document and disseminate KP
    • processes, outcomes, and lessons learnt as well as best practices to ensure quality program
    • Work with monitoring & evaluation (M&E) team to develop performance charts for program indicators and monitoring and ensure use of data for decision making and program improvement

    Requirements 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology, social sciences or nursing
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in KP programming
    • Demonstrated skills and experience in facilitation – TOT certificate
    • Demonstrated familiarity and knowledge of the national KP programming
    • Ability to manage people from diverse backgrounds Flexibility and good communication Skills
