Key Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate materials.
• Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and into required spaces.
• Install floor and wall tiles according to project specifications.
• Apply grout and finish tiled surfaces neatly and professionally.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tile installation, preferably in commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements.
• Skilled in tile cutting, laying, grouting, and finishing.
• Good understanding of different tile types and installation techniques.
• Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Relevant vocational training or certification in tiling is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in tile installation.
