The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries
Job Description
200004VJ
International Organization for Migration (IOM), Save the Children International (SCI) and University of Witwatersrand School of Public Health (WSPH) have been collaboratively working on implementing the Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights-HIV Knows No Borders project which responds to the high prevalence of HIV AIDS and other sexual and reproductive health challenges within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Funded by the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands for the period between 2016-2020, the project strives to improve the SRHR-HIV outcomes for migrants, adolescents and young people (AYP) and sex workers (SW) in migration affected communities.
The collaborative work specifically aims to create demand for SRH HIV services through provision of access to information for influencing positive behavioural change on SRH decisions while facilitating supply of and accessibility to responsive services through strengthening institutions, taking into account the unique needs of the population in the context of high migration dynamics. At the same time the project works to create platforms for dialogue in addressing the structural barriers to improved service provision through mobilizing traditional and religious leaders as well as local, national and regional stakeholders.
The Catalogue project aims to index, documents and compile a multimedia and hardcopy catalogue of the tools and materials developed in the first phase of the project into one consolidated document which will allow for browsing and provision of a downloadable disk, online and hardcopy tools and materials catalogue of the SRHR HIV Knows no Borders tool project.
