Duties and responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement structured training programs to enhance players’ physical fitness, endurance, teamwork, and technical pulling skills.
• Identify, recruit, and select suitable team members based on merit, strength, discipline, and teamwork capability.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards during training and competitions.
• Maintain up-to-date records of training attendance, performance assessments, and competition outcomes.
• Coordinate with the County Department of Sports and relevant stakeholders on team participation and resource allocation.

Requirements for appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Secondary school certificate
• Post-secondary education in Physical education, Sports science or a related field.
• Certificate from Kenya Tug of War Federation (KTWF) or a recognized sports body
• At least two (2) years of experience as a tug of war player, Assistant coach or coach.
• First Aid training
