Credit Risk Underwriter at Umba

Things we think that would help to be a key player for this role:

• At least 2 years experience in credit underwriting at a commercial bank, OFI or fintech, in either consumer or SME lending
• For this role, intermediate knowledge of Excel is required, and SQL skills highly desirable in order to maximize data driven decisioning at Umba
• Experience of financial products, particularly lending, is a must
• Ability to analyze complex financial statements to understand the underlying cashflows of a business and make a sound judgment on credit worthiness
• Ability and desire to navigate through data, metrics or dashboards to answer business questions
• Experience of building, developing or maintaining automated credit decisioning systems is a plus
