We are pleased to announce the following Position in the Digital IT Department within the Technology Division.   In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Brief Description

Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, the position holder will Lead user experience design direction for projects within DIT as well as Cultivating a culture of respect and collaboration with user experience, product management, and engineering partners to synthesize insights and shape product direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead user experience design direction for projects within DIT.
• Work with user experience research to develop user understanding and plan/support testing/validation.
• Cultivate a culture of respect and collaborate with user experience, product management, and engineering partners to synthesize insights and shape product direction.
• Promote feedback culture by both giving and receiving constructive and actionable feedback.
• Work with user experience research to develop user understanding and plan/support testing/validation.
• Be a significant contributor to the fostering of our design process and quality standards based on objective , data-driven evidence
• Foster a collaborative and learning environment by partnering with stakeholders and facilitating design decisions to optimize for the user experience while balancing interests within technology, marketing, business, and executive partners
• Be the "voice of the customer," representing user needs in product design decisions
• Advise on integrations and collaborations with external organizations
• Facilitate workshops (Design Sprints, journey mapping, etc)
• Be a manager and mentor to your direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors or Masters or equivalent qualification in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
• 4 - 8 years of experience as a user experience designer, product designer, digital designer, or similar role
• Comfortable leading UX and UI design on projects, both as a single contributor and director of other designers
• Experience working with multidisciplinary user experience and/or product teams (e.g., motion, interaction, user experience research, engineering, content strategy) on technical implementation.
• Experience in creating and extending design systems for multiple platforms and form factors.
• Experience in providing UX recommendations for both software and hardware.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Balsamiq, Zeplin, Framer, and the like is a must.
• Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, within a user-centered design process.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
• Communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
• Experienced in information architecture and complex taxonomies
• Experience in an agile/scrum environment
• Portfolio of UX design projects showcasing your process and project achievements.
