Weighbridge Clerk at Mini Group

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Weighbridge Clerk will be responsible for overseeing weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate weighing of incoming and outgoing avocado vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily weighbridge operations to ensure accurate and efficient weighing of vehicles.
• Supervise and guide offloading casuals while ensuring adherence to procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately record and document all weighbridge transactions and forward records to the procurement team.
• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on incoming avocado fruits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate with drivers, procurement, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Address driver, supplier, and farmer concerns, ensuring good customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and generate daily reports.
• Ensure the weighbridge is kept clean and operational; liaise with maintenance for repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train casual off loaders on procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of company operations and sensitive information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Cargo Management, or related business course.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in food production or agriculture.
• Knowledge and experience in supervision will be an added advantage.
