Workshop Manager at Summit Recruitment and Search

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations of their electro-motor rewinding workshop and that includes managing a team of technicians, ensuring the highest quality standards, maintaining safety protocols, and driving operational efficiency. You will work with heavy machinery (up to 25 tons) and handle complex repairs on a variety of electric motors, Transformers and Associated Equipment. The Client is open to candidates seeking either a 1–2-year interim position or a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workshop team, promoting professionalism, safety, and performance.
• Plan tasks for efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
• Mentor technicians to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Oversee repair, maintenance, and rewinding of Motors, Transformers, and related equipment.
• Ensure proper operation of heavy machinery, including equipment up to 25 tons.
• Diagnose faults, recommend solutions, and uphold quality standards.
• Develop operational processes to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Liaise with senior management, clients, and the team, providing reports and technical support.

Qualifications

• 5 –1 0 years’ experience in electro-motor rewinding,
• Skilled in handling and operating heavy machinery (up to 25 tons).
• Expertise in rewinding processes, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management in a workshop setting.
• Preferably UK expatriate with extensive industry experience.
