Turkana University College (TUC) was inaugurated on 27th January 2017 as a constituent college of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. This is Kenya’s first Public University to be established in the vast resource – rich area of north western Kenya.

The Unive... read morersity College is situated in Turkana County, which is the 2nd largest County in Kenya covering 68,680sq km. It is the same size with the Republic of Rwanda. The County borders with South Sudan to the north, Uganda to the west and Ethiopia to the north- west.

Turkana University College aspires to be a preferred University College in humanities science and technology. We wish to provide holistic university education, create, preserve and disseminate knowledge and skills through superior pedagogy and research for transformation of lives and service to humanity

Turkana County is a good place to be. The earliest Stone Age industry in pre- history was found in Turkana County. A number of archeological discoveries make the County very strategic. The earliest late Stone Age industries in prehistory were found in Turkana. At the archaeological site of Nataruk, in Southwest Turkana, scientists have discovered the oldest evidence of inter-group conflict in the past. We are therefore situated in a rich environment for studies in human sciences.
