  • Accounts Assistant

    • They seek to hire an Accounts Assistant- Receivables who will ensure the society has more predictable and reliable cash flows with minimal exposure to bad debts across all trading activities and monitor management of product inventories

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring timely generation of invoices (Bulk milk, Pouch, Yoghurt, Lala, water & and processing services) and subsequent dispatch of the same to the customers.
    • Following up debts promptly for timely payment by all credit customers i.e. by 5th of the following month/as per approved credit terms.
    • Maintaining reconciled debtors accounts reflecting actual status of the debts at any given time.
    • Maintaining an accurate debtor’s ageing analysis report.
    • Ensuring strict adherence of the credit policy.
    • Giving daily banking reports from the key cash selling centers and other centers as may be required at any given time.
    • Ensuring timely payments from the cash customers.
    • Performing reconciliations for assigned M-Pesa tills bank accounts.
    • Ensuring proper maintenance of the receivable cashbooks and ensure the balances are reconciled to the general ledger.
    • Production Reporting- Closely monitoring milk movement and utilization to avoid any wastages/losses.
    • Overseeing and participating in the month end procedures concerning stock take.
    • Any other duty as may be required in your line of duty.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is desirable
    • A minimum of CPA Part 2 or its equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in both receivables and payables management
    • Must have experience in Dairy Processing industry.
    • Proficiency in Information Systems.
    • Be an excellent team player with excellent communication skills

    Trailer Driver

    • They seek to hire a Trailer Driver who will transport freight across the country’s road networks

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Ensure documentation of all transport trips is done
    • Ensure cleanliness, safety and security of the organisation vehicle at all times
    • Ensure compliance with traffic regulations
    • Ensure safe delivery of supplies to various facilities as and when required including loading and unloading delivery goods
    • Ensure proper documentation of all driving records (i.e. mileage and gas receipts)
    • Perform simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. cleaning interior and exterior, taking the vehicle for state inspections, filling tires with air, etc.)
    • Ensure consistent communication with supervisor on vehicle performance and if there are any vehicle problems
    • Ensure up to date insurance of the vehicle is maintained
    • Ensure compliance to CHS travel and HR policy in relation to handing of the vehicles
    • Safely delivering freight at various locations, including over long distances.
    • Planning the most efficient routes and delivering freight on time.
    • Performing truck and trailer inspections before departure to ensure good running order.
    • Inventorying loads and documenting the condition of the freight before departure.
    • Assisting in the loading and unloading of freight, and obtaining the client’s signature on delivery.
    • Securing the freight in place before departure and monitoring its safe distribution throughout the trip.
    • Performing service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluid levels, as well as minor repairs, when required.
    • Logging the hours driven, rest stop durations, distances covered, as well as all fuel, repair, and toll expenses.
    • Reporting any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management.
    • Adhering to federal and state trucking rules and regulations, including mandatory rest periods, weight restrictions, and weight adjustments.
    • Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time

    Key skills and qualifications

    • Valid driving license from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • A valid Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification.
    • Certificate of good Conduct
    • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and traffic patterns is desired.
    • Extensive experience as a tractor-trailer truck driver.
    • An incident-free driving record, as well as solid knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance.
    • Advanced knowledge of route planning, using both road maps and GPS devices.
    • The ability to work long, irregular hours, and to remain alert and focused throughout.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Sound knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Experience driving Foton, Renault, Mercedes, Tata brands will be an added advantage

    Unit Supervisor – Hospitality

    • Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking to hire a Unit Supervisor who will be in charge of all waiters/ress, casual waiters/ress, and trainee waiters working within his/her section and inspecting food before it goes to the guest and ensuring it is of the right quality and quantity.

    Responsibilities

    • In charge of the respective department, he/she is placed under.
    • Oversee the smooth running of the Bar, the Restaurant, and all other Food and Beverage outlets.
    • Welcoming guests warmly and ensuring their comfort in all the food and beverage outlets.
    • Budgets and plans for all the departments under him/her.
    • Manages all staff working under him/her to ensure top-class service and proper execution of duties at all times.
    • Helps in menu planning and development in conjunction with the Chef and the Food and beverage Manager.

    • Ensures the restaurant is clean at all times including all the windows, wall hangings, and drinks cabinet.
    • Arranges and hold briefings on a daily basis before service.
    • Ensures the safety and proper use of all the equipment within the restaurant including Television sets, fridges, computers, and all other electronics
    • Responsible for all restaurant keys and restaurant safety.
    • Reports any repairs to the management for necessary action.
    • Takes charge of planning & execution of all events (indoor and outdoor) within the UN complex.
    • Ensure stock-taking (Food and beverage) is undertaken promptly according to the set rules and regulations and the respective reports are shared with management team members.
    • Ensure proper inventory records are kept and the weekly reports are shared with management team members.
    • Ensure revenue generated is collected and banked appropriately.
    • Ensure controls in the F & B department are adhered to by all the staff.
    • Performs any other duties as may be required by management or superiors.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma/Degree in Food and Beverage service and sales or Service Advanced from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum of 2 years of work experience at the supervisory level in a 3 or 4-star hotel.
    • Must have experience as a waiter or barman.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Passion for customer service and staff motivation.
