    Senior Lecturer

    Qualifications for the Senior Lecturer Jobs:

    • Applicants should have earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification (or a master’s degree qualification in special cases) in the relevant area from an accredited and recognized University;
    • at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level since being appointed Lecturer or six (6) years research experience. In addition they must accumulated a minimum of thirty two (32) equivalent publication points since attaining
    • Lecturer or equivalent of which at least twenty four (24) should be from referred scholarly journals;
    • supervised a minimum of three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a lecturer or equivalent; registered with relevant professional bodies (where applicable).

    Associate Professor

    Qualifications for the Associate Professor Jobs:

    • Applicants should have an earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited and recognized University; at least three (3) years teaching and research experience since being appointed Senior Lecturer or equivalent and research experience.

    Facilities Manager

    Qualifications and Experience for the Position

    • Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Survey or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • At least five (5) year’s relevant experience at a Senior Level in an Estates Department of a large organization
    • Experience in conducting site surveys and evaluating prefeasibility and feasibility studies
    • Proven knowledge and experience in carrying out civil works and evaluating drawings and specifications for projects
    • Proven track record in managing a large team of construction and maintenance personnel
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft project software
    • Be registered with the relevant professional body

    Deputy Vice Chancellor

    Qualifications and Experience for the Position:

    • Have a minimum of a PhD degree in a relevant field and preferably an associate professor level or higher at a recognized University
    • Professional accounting qualifications such CPA (K), ACCA, and membership of a relevant recognized professional body
    • At least seven (7) years experience in senior management position or served as a Dean of Faculty or college/campus principal for at least three(3) years
    • Demonstrable ability in management of planning and systems, budgets, risk mitigation and procurement procedures
    • Experience in the running of University affairs, procedures and systems and be well versed with the context of the Kenyan institutions of higher learning
    • Ability and proven experience in fundraising, resource mobilization and networking
    • Ability to forge strategic partnerships and linkages with the government, business, development agencies and the wider society
    • Have a demonstrable experience in transformative and strategic leadership
    • Meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity

    Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Position:

    • Ensure effective accountability to the Vice Chancellor for proper management and implementation of activities in administration and planning within the University
    • Provide leadership and supervisory oversight to the Planning and General Administration Departments
    • Ensure implementation of policies and strategies that support the realization of departmental and divisional objectives and the University’s overall mission
    • Implement procurement, human resource and administrative policies and procedures to ensure effective performance and delivery of services and cause revisions of such policies and procedures as often as may be necessary
    • Preparation of planning matters with budgets
    • Develop appropriate procedure and ensure compliance to all statutory and legal requirements in general administration within the University
    • Coordinate the design, implementation, revision and evaluation of the University’s strategic plan
    • Develop systems and procedures to attract, develop and retain qualified and experienced staff, manage the appraisal system and ensure good ethos and adherence to the code of conduct
    • Any other duty that may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
