    Senior Manager, Partnerships and Communications

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement partnership strategy to increase KCBF’s engagement of partners.
    • Identify and build strategic alliances and partnerships that galvanize action and bring resources and visibility for KCB Foundation and its work.
    • Lead in acquisition and maintenance of both public and private sector partnerships for Africa.
    • Negotiate and engage in new partnerships with both bilateral and private sector donors.
    • Drive relationship management efforts to maintain and grow existing partner relationships.
    • Collaborate with programme teams to structure and execute KCBF’s initiatives and partnerships.
    • Build wider staff capacities on partnership and stakeholder management.
    • Work alongside the Business Development team to identify business opportunities with prospective and new partners.
    • Develop and implement work plans for strategic partnerships, including maintenance of an up-to-date partner database.
    • Work with partners to ensure that their communications and joint programs/initiatives align with the Foundation.
    • Build and strengthen KCBF’s unique proposition value to partners.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a robust strategic communications and public engagement plan integrated with the strategic priorities and major activities of the Foundation.
    • Lead the development of a clear vision for promoting the Foundation's brand awareness globally with compelling messages.
    • Engage and build a robust network with mainstream and non-traditional media partners to generate Kenya-specific and regional coverage to build the Foundation’s profile.
    • Collaborate closely with the Business Development, Policy and Advocacy, Programmes and MEL teams to ensure that the Communications team is fully leveraging impact, successes and activities to advance the brand and strategic objectives.
    • Track and maintain annual department budgets.
    • Seek speaking and public engagement opportunities for the Foundation and maintain relationships with important conferences, speaker's bureaus, and other relevant fields of value to the Foundation's brand-building and message dissemination.
    • Monitor traditional and online spheres for ongoing reputation management, and when required, advise the organization on appropriate crisis communications responses.

    Requirements

    To be considered for the role, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Public Relations/ Communications, or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    • A Master’s Degree in Public Relations/ Communications or any related field is added advantage.
    • Knowledge and relevant work experience of 8 years and above, with not less than 4 years in a management role; and
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise in International Donor-Funded Projects, Project Management, Capacity Building and Facilitation.
    • Must demonstrate expert proficiency in Leadership, Relationship & People Management, and Strategic Thinking.

    IT Security Specialist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, conduct and manage periodic user access recertification and reviews.
    • Provide tactical security expertise across various security domains as assigned from time to time.
    • Provide technical security related support to ICT projects from inception through to successful implementation.
    • Support the implementation of procedural, operational and technical security controls across the bank’s ICT systems.
    • Install, configure and upgrade security systems / solutions while maintaining requisite levels of security.
    • Safeguard the bank’s information assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security threats.
    • Identify and provide solutions for information security related problems & anomalies and report violations of security policies.
    • Conduct continuous research and provide technical security expertise on threats affecting KCB Group information assets.
    • Monitor the bank’s ICT systems for indicators of compromise, investigate incidents and take appropriate steps to contain, neutralize and prevent breaches from happening in the future.
    • Participate in activities aimed at mitigating information and cyber risks identified by various assurance teams such as Information Risk and Audit.

     

    Requirements

    For the above position, the successful applicantshould have the following:

    • A Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or related field from a recognized university.
    • Must possess at least one security certification such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker); SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner); CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor); OCSP (Offensive Security Certified Professional); CompTIA Security+.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Information Technology; with at least 1-year experience in Information Security or Cyber Security. 
    • 2 years’ experience in System/Data/Network Administration.
    • Experience in Project Implementation and user training is desired.

    Senior Manager Monitoring & Evaluation

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop guidelines, policy and framework for MEAL.
    • Lead the design and implementation of the project monitoring and evaluation framework as well as the project information system.
    • Provide expertise to support field programmes with designing of M&E frameworks, plans and tools and the designing and execution of research studies.
    • Lead the development and strengthening of MEAL systems.
    • Lead the capacity building of programme staff in MEAL.
    • Oversee regular field monitoring and evaluation to support implementation of systems.
    • Develop learning programs for continuous quality improvement and impact evaluation.
    • Lead regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) on the performance and impact of KCBF Programmes.
    • Lead the development and maintenance of the Foundation’s programme database.
    • Lead Knowledge Management across programmes in the Foundation.
    • Collaborate with Project team and partners to identify their M&E related needs and allocate resources accordingly.
    • Develop and maintain systems to collect and analyse information on inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact of the program.
    • Provide guidance and a mechanism to ensure quality assurance is maintained at all levels of programmatic work and particularly at results level by offering technical support.
    • Oversee special studies that inform project performance and management including documentation.
    • Facilitate the use of project data with partners, staff, and other stakeholders to inform decision-making and to identify lessons learned and promising practices.
    • Lead the development of transparent high-quality accountability mechanisms, including beneficiary feedback and response mechanisms, and ensure they are regularly monitored and evaluated.
    • Work with other component leads to support relationships, networks and synergies within and outside the organization to promote the use of information and evidence for strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure quality, consistency and adherence to standards and best practices for M&E across the project, including the data quality use.

     

    Requirements

    To be considered for the role, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in the fields of Community Development/Public Health/Education, or any other related field, gained from a recognized institution.
    • A Master’s Degree in Project Management/Development Economics, or any related field is added advantage.
    • Have knowledge and relevant work experience of 8 years and above, with not less than 4 years in a management role; and
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise in International Donor-Funded Projects, Knowledge Management, Capacity Building and Facilitation.
    • Must demonstrate expert proficiency in Leadership, Relationship & People Management, and Strategic Thinking.

    Head of Programme Support

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure projects and programmes submit annual and quarterly activity and procurement plans in accordance with budgets and donor procurement rules and regulations.
    • Facilitate timely procurement of goods and services for projects that have big project procurement, communication and construction items.
    • Follow projects on start-up and close out phase and manage closely with program managers timely start of project implementation and following of set procedures using the start-up and close out template as reference.
    • Check agreements and work closely with compliance team.
    • Track timely budget release to field office, payments of contractors and consultants, and follow timely approval of quarter plans.
    • Participate on Business development.
    • Coordinate quarterly programme review meetings aimed at identifying and remedying performance gaps, as well as disseminating relevant information.
    • Facilitate and works closely with M/E/R department in organizing annual operational plan and program/project review meetings including weekly and monthly performance review meetings.
    • Participate in program and technical team regular meeting and document minutes and actions.
    • Coordinate technical learning plat forms face to face or virtual between the program managers and project managers.
    • Participate in a selected consortium meeting, participate in selected feedbacks.
    • Support learning across projects within the programme.
    • Document all project documents in the organizations at the organization knowledge management.
    • Lead the development of program brief newsletter in close connection with communication and program.
    • Work as a liaison agent between country office and field offices.
    • Liaise the program and other departments.

     

    Requirements

    To be considered for the role, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Economics/Community Development/Social Work or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)/Strategic Management or any related field is added advantage.
    • Project Management certification and membership to a relevant professional body is required.
    • Knowledge and relevant work experience of 12 years and above, with not less than 5 years in a senior management role.
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise in International Donor-Funded Projects, Project Management, Capacity Building and Facilitation.
    • Must demonstrate expert proficiency in Leadership, Relationship & People Management, and Strategic Thinking.
