    Nurse

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    •  Examining, diagnosing, treating and counselling of target groups at the RWC and outreach sites.
    •  Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) among target population. This shall be done in accordance with the National guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health or other relevant Ministries.
    •  Ensure effective use of syndromic approach to management of STIs, Malaria and other common illnesses.
    •  Management of Opportunistic Infections (OIs).
    •  Screening for Cervical Cancer.
    •  Screening for Tuberculosis.
    •  Adherence monitoring of use of medication particularly for TB and HIV cases.
    •  Develop proper records of all HIV and TB infected patients served and ensure follow up.
    •  Provide health education and counselling to the target population
    •  Recording data according to North Star Alliance, MOH and project specifications.
    •  Preparing and submitting reports within set deadlines.
    •  Meet all performance targets.
    •  Refer all cases requiring specialized care and management to relevant health facilities and or services

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Diploma in Nursing from a recognized Institution.
    •  Must be registered by the Nursing Council.
    •  A degree in Nursing or Social sciences will be an added advantage
    •  Over 3 years experience in a reputable health institution/facility
    •  Strong personality with good leadership skills
    •  Ability to prepare timely reports
    •  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
    •  Proficient in English and local languages
    •  IT literate (Word, Excel and Internet)
    •  Familiar with local structures.

    Health Records and Information Officer (HRIO)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    •  Manage and organize client files at the service sites
    •  Accurately enter data into various databases.
    •  Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods.
    •  Prepare relevant reports as needed.
    •  Work with the M & E Officer on DQA and other data matters
    •  Provide general data entry support across the program.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Diploma in Health records and Information Technology
    •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    •  Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
    •  Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically
    •  Excellent communication skills.
    •  At least 2 years data management experience
    •  Experience in Key population & HIV data management is additional advantage

    HIV Testing Services Provider

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    •  Provide quality HTS services at the Jomvu Roadside Wellness Centre in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
    •  Ensure a sufficient supply of test kits and consumables at the Centre.
    •  Together with the Clinical Officer, develop guidelines for referrals and adhere to them strictly
    •  Ensure adherence to the national guidelines and protocol.
    •  Recording data according to North Star Alliance’s specifications.
    •  Preparing and submitting reports within set deadlines.
    •  Meet all performance targets.
    •  Refer all cases requiring specialized care and management to relevant health facilities and or services.
    •  Organize outreach activities in collaboration with other partners and stakeholders
    •  Participate in Peer Education activities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Certificate in HIV Counselling and Testing from a recognized college certified by NASCOP
    •  Diploma or Certificate in counselling will be an added advantage
    •  2 years’ experience in HTS work
    •  Strong personality with good leadership skills
    •  Ability to prepare timely reports
    •  Unquestionable confidentiality
    •  Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and communication skills
    •  Proficient in English and Kiswahili languages
    •  IT literate (Word, Excel and internet)
    •  Familiar with local community structures.
