    Senior Creative Graphic Designer

    In line with our commitment to providing quality, affordable education through world-class service delivery platforms, USIU-Africa is seeking to recruit suitable and qualified candidates for the following position:

    Key Responsibilities/Tasks/Duties:

    1. Responsible for all university wide design elements including defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics.
    2. Presenting concept visualization through sketches, drawings and illustrations to communicate the right message.
    3. Develop communication for use across various platforms including traditional and social media for both internal and external audiences.
    4. Creating visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner.
    5. Creative direction for thematic and tactical campaigns as well as ad-hoc events.
    6. Overseeing design changes and improvements throughout the development process.
    7. Integrating technical and visual solutions into a design concept.
    8. Understanding trends within the scope of the industry.
    9. Familiarity and use of graphic design and other relevant software.
    10. Manage projects in a timely fashion with multiple deliverables for projects on competing timelines.

    Qualifications /Educational/Professional/Experience:
    Educational Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or any other related field with a bias in creative graphic design from a recognized institution.
    2. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design in a busy environment.
    3. A strong working experience of user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process.
    4. A working experience in developing integrated digital marketing strategies.

    2. Ability to decipher briefs into design and set themes and tones of visual communication
    3. Strong portfolio
    4. Ability to meet tight deadlines – demonstrate quick turnaround time

    7. Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas
    8. Copy writing skills

    Senior Internal Auditor

    Summary:

    Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor, the Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan. This responsibility includes developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed.

    Key Responsibilities/Tasks/Duties:

    1. Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in risk assessment and annual audit planning.
    2. Assist in expeditiously executing the approved audit plan activities, as assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor and preparing reports to highlight areas for improvement on internal controls.
    3. Assist in assessing the university’s information security practices and recommend as appropriate, enhancements to, or implementation of, new controls and safeguards.
    4. Conduct periodic audits of computer systems and make post-installation evaluations of data processing systems.
    5. Assist in implementing appropriate follow up mechanisms to ensure that agreed audit recommendations are implemented by management.
    6. Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in managing the day to day administration of the audit function in the university, preparation of departmental budgets and in the improvement of departmental processes.

    Qualifications /Educational/Professional/Experience:
    Educational Qualifications:

    1. Upper Second Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Information Technology;
    2. CPA (K) or CIA and CISA;
    3. Proficiency in computer applications;
    4. At least 5 years of audit work experience with at least 3 years in a similar position;
    5. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
