Job Purpose: 

• This is a strategic role within the country Make Mission Team (MMT) whose primary responsibility is to develop strategy for logistics and warehousing services for all Seed Production inputs including but not limited to: Raws Seeds, Foundation seeds, Treating Chemicals, Packaging materials and the distribution to multiple tolling sites within Kenya. 
• Further, the role will be responsible for contracting inbound and outbound transport to ensure optimized seed production and Quality operations system in Kenya.
• In addition, the role will be responsible for coordinating stock movement in SAP from receiving, storage and issuance and thereby maintaining a 100% physical and system stock matching.
• This is expected to be achieved by Coordinating weekly stock counts and mass balancing of the inventories.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating weekly stock counts and mass balancing of the inventories. Key responsibilities: 
• Develop and implement the Logistics and Warehousing strategy in line with the Field Production and Tolling operations strategies for Kenya. 
• Operationalize the strategy and ensuring appropriate resources are deployed timely to ensure optimized intake, storage and release operations. 
• Develop operational plans and reports such as daily intake reports, weeklystock counts, and monthly stock counts and perform necessary reconciliation and reporting to all stakeholders. 
• Develop operational budget and control systems to ensure effective utilization of resources consistent with out Dynamic Resource Flows. 
• You will be key coordinator for all EHS and One PSS and OMS within the warehouse operations in the various operating sites. 
• You will be responsible for contract management for Transporters Warehouses and temporal labour for the site to ensure full compliance to both legal and Bayer policies Ensure all team members and well trained in the use and application of SAP and other digital platforms. 
• Utilize onePSS as a platform to implement best practices, for example, Visual Management to track Operations KPI`s on Tier 2 and 3 meetings.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• A Bachelors degree in Businesses/ Finance/ Supply Chain.
• At least 5 years' experience in Warehouse and Supply Chain operations and management or planning.
• MS Office software (Excel, E-mail, Word, Project etc.) Interpersonal and communication skills Results focused with ability to work on own initiative Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others)
• Establish clear direction and making decisions on a timely manner
• Fluent in English
• ISO training is desirable

Job Purpose: 

• This role is responsible for executing and managing the life cycle of Production Process Orders from creation to closed status. 
• The key success factor is the live system (SAP & Maestro ) update of all activities related to commercial maize seed production in the country specific processing plants, ensuring compliance with all SAP processes and procedures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Life Cycle management of Processing Orders and Batch Management 

• Collaborate effectively with the ERD Master Data team to promote proper and complete master data setup for the respective processing plant. 
• In collaboration with the plant planner, the production coordinator will look at the planned orders in Maestro and then firm the required orders. 
• Convert PLO to PRO’s by creating processing orders in SAP for DS-Bulk, CS-Bulk, CS-KGWB, CT-Bulk and TB in SAP for all processing sites Ethiopia
•  Manage the creation of batches (all stages) and update relevant values in batch characteristics
• Issue process orders to the shopfloor to work on the respective batches On a weekly basis promptly set the open orders to Confirmation status having ensured that the shopfloor team have performed the requisite goods movements and conducted a mass balanced per process order per batch. 
• Participate in monthly stock counts for product supply.

Issue resolution and Error Management 

• Actively communicate and follow-up to ensure correction of SAP errors in the system as they arise. 
• Report any deviation from SAP standards

• Ensure data accuracy on visual boards and adherence to compliance standards. 
• Actively engage in problem-solving activities (e.g., 5 Why, Quick Kaizen) and lead assigned improvement initiatives. 
• Monitor continuous improvement suggestions related to ONEMES [HSE, quality, and efficiency using the red/blue tag system, taking action on assigned tags. 
• Take an active role in the commissioning of new applications related to the production system, serving as a role model for operators. 
• Ensure safety and internal control compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in production planning or supply chain management.
• Strong analytical skills
• SAP & MS Office packages
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar field
• Prior experience in agricultural or seed industry is an added advantage
• Specific Seed production, handling, or processing of Seed.
• Fluent in English
