    Cyber Security Analyst (DevSecOps)

    Job Summary 

    • We are seeking a driven and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in cybersecurity principles and a passion for integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). In this role, you’ll actively contribute to protecting our systems, networks, and sensitive data by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures, and responding effectively to security incidents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement, test and operate security software, tools and techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture
    • Perform on-going security testing and code review to uncover vulnerabilities
    • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standards
    • Provide secure engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
    • Contribute to all levels of the architecture of proposed and existing software
    • Maintain technical documentation of application security, assessments and remediation
    • Consult team members and peers on secure coding practices
    • Document security breaches and assess the impact
    • Develop company-wide best practices for IT security
    • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
    • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
    • Perform penetration testing on applications
    • Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
    • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
    • Stay current on IT security trends and news
    • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards

    Qualifications

    • At Least 2-3 years work experience as a software security engineer
    • Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation.
    • Software development experience in one of the following core languages: PHP,Python, Java, Javascript and DotNET(C-sharp  etc).
    • Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
    • Interest in all aspects of security research and development.
    • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant certifications.

    Associate II, Payments

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operational & Financial Management

    • Validate invoices, payment vouchers and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to authorizing supplier payments.
    • Manage payment processing, track bounced transactions and initiate proper account reversals in coordination with business teams.
    • Oversee daily cash collections, cheque banking and receipting functions across Head Office and branches to maintain smooth, resource-efficient operations.
    • Prepare and process the Financial Advisors (FA) payroll for further review, ensuring accurate input of commissions, deductions, agent advances, and other payroll transactions for timely payment.
    • Ensure accurate processing and remittance of all statutory obligations to maintain 100% regulatory and internal controls compliance.
    • Oversee receipting operations for the Company, both at the head office and branches.

    Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Working in conjunction with the Manager II, Treasury, supervise, mentor, and coach the Payments team to drive performance and continuous professional development.
    • Promptly address and resolve internal and external customer payment queries.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support seamless relevant financial audit processes.
    • Partner with the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Lead and Technology & Transformation (T&T) teams to continuously streamline and simplify payment operations.
    • Provide support to the payment team and the wider organization on payment matters including System utilization optimization.

    Governance & Internal Controls

    • Enforce adherence to internal financial controls and payment processing policies across all channels.
    • Safeguard company and customer financial interests through accurate obligation management and risk mitigation.

    ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting option) or a related business field.
    • Must be have or be pursuing a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or ACCA qualification.
    • Must have advanced MS excel skills.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive finance experience within a large high-volume and complex payment operations environment.
    • Experience in driving financial compliance by enforcing strict internal controls and risk frameworks to ensure timely and accurate payments.
    • Experience in end-to-end full-cycle invoice upload and payment workflows across complex, high-volume environments to ensure rigorous adherence to 3-way matching principles (Purchase Orders, Receiving Goods/Services Receipts and Vendor Invoices).
    • Must have managed bank payment integrations and clearing operations, actively monitoring automated batch transfers, resolving payment exceptions/rejections and liaising directly with major banking institutions for prompt remediation.
    • Experience in cross-departmental engagement with Procurement, Operations and Business Development teams to resolve outstanding payment items and minimize supply chain disruptions caused by payment related challenges.
    • Experience working with Treasury leadership to determine liquidity needs, manage disbursements against forecasted cash inflows and invest surpluses or resolve funding shortfalls.
    • Experience in implementation and working with Microsoft D365 F&O ERP system is an added advantage.

    Data Protection and Legal Compliance (Contract)

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Data Protection

    • Assist in maintaining and updating the Records of Processing Activities register.
    • Supporting with the timely renewal of registration certificates from the various Regulators.
    • Assisting the DPO in ensuring that the subsidiary deliverables are on track.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating the third party register and ensuring that we execute Data Processing Agreements with all Data Processors.
    • Assist in the management of the Data Subject Rights request tracker and ensuring that all requests are resolved within the recommended timelines. 
    • Assist in tracking of new Data Protection Regulations, Guidelines and Determinations.

    Legal & Compliance

    • Assist with reviewing, drafting and revising a wide variety of court pleadings and contracts.
    • Assisting to provide strategic legal advice on business matters.
    • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
    • Provide support in compliance and legal risk management, including researching statutes, laws, and other legal matters applicable to the Company’s activities.
    • Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time.
    • Conducting gap analysis on bills, new and existing laws that affect the operations of the Companies.
    • Assisting in tracking legal compliance levels in the various entities.
    • Maintenance of the Litigation tracker and providing periodic reports on court matters and assisting with communication to external counsel.

    ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • A Bachelor of Laws degree, training in Data Protection will be an added advantage.
    • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya or awaiting admission to the bar.
    • Knowledge of the Kenyan Law of Contract and Data Protection Laws is desired. 
    • Legal Drafting and review skills highly desired.
    • Demonstrate high level of  integrity
