Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail: -
- General administration and co-ordination of the functions of the respective;
- Provide strategic policy direction for effective service delivery within the department/division;
- Authorized Officer of Department/Division;
- Develop and implement strategic plans;
- Manage departmental performance;
- Formulation and effective implementation of departmental programs aligned to the
- County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) and Vision 2030;
- Promote and ensure compliance with National Values and Principles of Governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
- Implement laws, policies and regulations, formulated by the County and the National Government;
- Any other duty assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
- A Kenyan citizen;
- Be in possession of a first degree in a relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than 5 years at a senior management level in the Public or Private Sector;
- Have knowledge and experience in Programme Based Budgeting, Planning and Financial analysis;
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and commitment to the Values and Principles as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya and understanding of Vision 2030; and
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.

MEMBER COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD (REF. KCG/PSM/ADVERTBM/01/2026) TWO (2) POSITION
PURSUANT to Section 58(3) of the County Governments Act (Cap. 265), a person shall be appointed as a member of the County Public Service Board, if that person:
- satisfies the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
- is not a state or public officer;
- has not, at any time within the preceding five years, held office, or stood for election as—
- a member of Parliament or of a county assembly; or
- a member of the governing body of a political party;
- is, or as at any time been, a candidate for election as a member of Parliament or of a county assembly;
- is, or has at any time been, the holder of an office in any political organization that sponsors or otherwise supports, or has at any time sponsored or otherwise supported, a candidate for election as a member of Parliament or of a county assembly;
- possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and working experience of not less than five (5) years; and
- is a professional, demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct.
Terms of Service: Six (6) Year Contract.
Remuneration: As determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
