    Human Resource Officer

    Job Purpose: The Human Resource Officer will support generalist HR functions while actively safeguarding the organization’s people and practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support recruitment activities by participating in candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding processes.
    • Administer and maintain the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), ensuring data accuracy and producing reports that inform HR planning and decisions.
    • Assist in executing performance management systems, including performance appraisals, and collaborate with supervisors to monitor and improve staff productivity.
    • Support the delivery and monitoring of staff welfare programs, including wellness activities, employee assistance services, and benefit schemes that promote well-being.
    • Compile and interpret HR metrics such as staff turnover, absenteeism, training effectiveness, and workforce composition to support strategic initiatives.
    • Support payroll administration by verifying employee data and ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement in accordance with statutory requirements.
    • Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws by staying informed of legal updates, reviewing internal practices, and advising on necessary adjustments.
    • Support the Management of staff contracts by preparing, updating, and tracking employment agreements, ensuring terms align with organizational policies and legal requirements.
    • Apply and revise HR policies consistently, while ensuring full compliance with Kenyan employment legislation and internal governance standards.
    • Champion a safe and ethical workplace by reinforcing safeguarding measures and promoting respectful conduct across all levels of the organization.

    Key Qualifications / Skills / Competencies / Experience Required

    • A university degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
    • Possession of a Higher National Diploma in HR or a CHRP certification.
    • At least three (3) years of experience in a broad-based human resources role.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems, with familiarity in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, is considered an asset.
    • Solid understanding of Kenyan employment legislation and established HR practices.

    Records Management Officer

    Job Purpose: The Records Management Officer will ensure that Council records, both physical and digital, are properly organized, securely stored, and easily accessible.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement procedures for organizing, storing, retrieving, and disposing of records in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
    • Maintain accurate filing systems for both paper and electronic documents.
    • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive records, adhering to data protection regulations.
    • Facilitate timely access to records for authorized users and respond to documentation requests.
    • Conduct periodic audits to verify the integrity and completeness of records.
    • Coordinate archiving and disposal of records in line with retention schedules and legal standards.
    • Monitor compliance with records management policies and applicable legislation.
    • Support Council digitization efforts and contribute to the enhancement of electronic records systems.
    • Support in managing electronic records within the ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics and sharepoint, by ensuring proper classification, storage, and retrieval of digital documents.
    • Generate reports and provide insights from records data to support administrative decision-making.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Records Management, Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in records or information management.
    • Familiarity with electronic records systems and ERP platforms; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage.
    • Knowledge of records lifecycle, archiving standards, and data protection laws.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

    Assistant Finance Officer - 2 Posts

    Job Purpose: The Assistant Finance Officer will support the Finance Department in managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.  

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
    • Process payments, invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions accurately and on time
    • Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure proper documentation for audits and reporting
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly
    • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements

    Job Purpose: The IT & Data Analyst will facilitate effective use of technology by maintaining reliable data systems, ensuring smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, providing technical support to users, and troubleshooting system issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and enhance the performance of data systems and IT infrastructure to ensure stability and efficiency
    • Carry out regular updates, system backups, and patch installations to maintain security and functionality
    • Deliver prompt technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues effectively
