Job Description

• We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Accountant who will provide leadership and control over project finance, cost management, budgeting, reporting, and accounting systems within upstream oil & gas waste management operations. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate project financial reporting, robust cost control frameworks, effective cashflow management, contract accounting, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, with a professional qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred, and a minimum of 5–8 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3–5 years in project accounting or cost control within oil & gas, EPC, energy, or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement project accounting frameworks including chart of accounts, job codes, cost centers, and allocation methodologies aligned with IFRS and corporate policies.
• Develop and maintain project budgeting structures, standard costing templates, and approval workflows.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for CapEx and OpEx across project phases and activities.
• Monitor project cost-to-complete, identify cost overruns, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare rolling cashflow forecasts in collaboration with procurement and operations teams.
• Produce monthly and weekly project financial reports including P&L, WIP, cost variance analysis, committed vs incurred costs, and margin reporting.
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs to support project performance tracking and decision-making.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with contract terms including T&M, lump sum, and unit rate agreements.
• Support invoicing processes including billing, change orders, claims, retentions, and contract adjustments.
• Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Ensure timely and accurate cost capture from procurement, operations, and subcontractors.
• Validate subcontractor invoices, progress claims, and equipment hire costs against contractual agreements.
• Support procurement processes to ensure cost compliance, contract adherence, and payment milestone tracking.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Kenyan tax regulations, environmental levies, and industry-specific reporting requirements.
• Support statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions related to project activities.
• Maintain environmental, health, and safety (EHS) cost tracking and reporting.
• Manage project fixed assets including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset registers.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of audit findings.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and segregation of duties across project finance processes.
• Configure and maintain ERP systems (Odoo) for project accounting, reporting, and cost tracking.
• Drive automation of financial reporting, dashboards, and recurring analysis.
• Partner with Project Managers, Operations, Procurement, HSE, and Commercial teams to support financial decision-making.
• Provide financial guidance and training to project teams on cost coding, reporting, and compliance processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Professional qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred. A master’s degree (MBA or MSc Finance) will be an added advantage.
• Must have a minimum of 5–8 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3–5 years in project accounting or cost control roles.
• Must have relevant project experience within upstream oil & gas and renewable energy.
• Strong understanding of contract accounting including T&M, lump sum, and unit rate contracts.
• Experience in revenue recognition, WIP accounting, cost-to-complete forecasting, and project financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Kenyan tax and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and advanced Excel financial modelling.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cashflow management.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and subcontractor cost validation.
• Experience with project audits and internal control frameworks.

Job Description

• We are seeking to hire Wind Turbine Technicians with hands-on experience specifically in wind turbine maintenance and operations to support our wind farm in Marsabit, Kenya. This role is suited for experienced field technicians who are confident working in turbine environments and can independently execute maintenance activities while adhering to strict safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate is technically competent, safety-focused, and comfortable working at height in challenging remote site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbine generators, including inspections, lubrication, and system servicing.
• Execute corrective maintenance activities such as replacement of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components (e.g., cables, filters, sensors, gear oil systems).
• Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, escalating complex issues where necessary.
• Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all wind turbine safety protocols, including working-at-height requirements.
• Ensure consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and full compliance with HSE and industry safety standards.
• Complete accurate maintenance reports, service logs, and inspection documentation in line with operational requirements.
• Identify, report, and support resolution of technical issues to minimize turbine downtime and optimize performance.
• Participate in emergency response activities and training, including tower rescue, fire safety, and first aid drills.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of proven hands-on experience as a Wind Turbine Technician in wind energy operations or maintenance.
• Strong practical experience working with wind turbine systems (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic).
• Certification or training in wind turbine safety, working at heights, or LOTO procedures is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in remote locations, at heights, and in harsh weather conditions.
• Strong team collaboration skills, disciplined safety mindset, and ability to work independently under supervision structures.
