The Role:

• The role exists to enhance organizational performance through provision of strategic leadership, coordination, and management to deepen the impact of our work at the country, regional and international level. The role facilitates external engagements with countries to develop clear policy influence targets with collective priorities the Federation is working on and policies that affect Africa. It also facilities AA members in the region to recruit, engage, organize, and activate campaign supporters to achieve short-term political change goals and develop a stronger popular base over the longer term.
• Towards campaign and policy influencing the role ensures that country, regional and international policy, and campaign engagements are informed with the organization rooted campaign vision and advance our local and national programme practice and are developed in close cooperation with key feminist and social movements and allies.
• The role ensures income growth through various fund-raising streams providing proactive leadership to achieve the set regional and country fund raising targets and cost recovery through the regional team and working in collaboration with countries and GS relevant programme and communication team.
• The role also facilitates organizational development that strengthen countries’ capacities and enables them to effectively plan and deliver their country strategies and contribute significantly to international programmes.
• The role has responsibility for the line management of Country Directors of Country Programmes, and established strategic coordination with other GS heads, particularly those who matrix manages the regional team. The role is a critical leadership position in supporting and coordinating organizational processes that require strong levels of interaction between countries and the Global Secretariat

The Role:

• The Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for developing and implementing engaging content strategies that enhance ActionAid International’s online presence and drive audience engagement across social media platforms. This role plays a crucial part in amplifying the organization's mission, campaigns, and values through compelling storytelling and multimedia content, and in building long term social media alliances with social movements.
• The Manager, in collaboration with other GS and members’ colleagues, will create, curate, and manage content across various digital channels, ensuring alignment with ActionAid’s branding and communication objectives. They will also monitor social media trends and audience insights to optimize content performance, engage with followers, and build a strong online community. This position requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a passion for social justice and community empowerment.
• The role also proactively coordinates the digital/social engagement plans of ActionAid teams across member countries of the AAI Federation, informing, sharing, amplifying and aligning online assets across relevant channels.
• The role will work closely with the Leadership Public Engagement and Stories & Projects roles and with other Federation colleagues and Global Platforms members active in social media to effectively articulate visible and engaging global actions.

The Role:

• The role organises, coordinates and supports efforts across the ActionAid federation to deploy digital and distributed strategies to turn passive citizens into active stakeholders in ActionAid’s causes - building political power, growing movements, connecting local struggles, and expanding our supporter base .

The Role:

• This role supports, trains, and advises countries in the region on growing institutional income, from pre-positioning through proposal development to inception workshop delivery. It will also provide global donor account management for prioritized GS-owned donors.
• The Regional Partnership Development Advisors will work with members in the region and the Regional Partnership Development & Fundraising Lead to identify and tackle key priorities for support.

The Role:

• The Global Secretariat Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, regulatory compliance, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting for the Global Secretariat, working closely with finance teams across Hubs. The financial reporting includes preparation of annual financial statements for external audits, and financial accounts for Management, GLT, International Board and the General Assembly.

The Role:

• An experienced fundraising professional who will lead the Federation's objectives of growing and diversifying Federation resources while shifting current AA funding models to better align with the ambition of advancing a rooted campaigning Federation.
• With a long-term vision, the Head will work closely with members to improve and innovate current fundraising operations, open new markets, and funding modalities, and mobilise internal and external investment in fundraising, providing a unique opportunity for growth and learning.
• Responsible for developing and implementing a Global Secretariat philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy, focusing on major grants that will significantly impact the federation.
• The Head will also articulate the work across the high—and mid-value donors and legacies at the Federation level and promote and pilot new funding modalities with members.
• The Head of P&P and Inst. Funding will line manage a newly structured team and matrix manage fundraisers assigned at the regional level and within the humanitarian team, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure that the team effectively supports members in achieving their income growth targets with institutional funders.
