    Forklift Operator

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for moving goods around warehouses.
    • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or racks for storage.
    • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
    • Transport raw materials to production workstations
    • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
    • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
    • Efficient delivery of goods and other services
    • Ensure that the goods on transit tally with the documentation
    • Ensure vehicle is loaded with 100% of all expected deliveries
    • Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and presentable to customers for company image.
    • Ensuring the vehicle is in good condition by constantly checking the tyres pressure, engine oil, water etc. All anomalies should be reported to the Stores Supervisor to ensure the matter is followed up.
    • Ensuring the vehicle assigned is driven carefully always, not endangering the lives of the occupants and/or other road users
    • To always observe the traffic rules.
    • Maintain logbooks for all trips made
    • Accountable for all vehicle movements
    • Keep receipts of fuel and reconcile at the end of the month

    Minimum Qualifications for the role:

    • ‘O’ level with a mean grade of C-
    • Proven experience as forklift operator
    • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
    • Valid certification to operate forklifts
    • BCE Driving license is an added advantage
    • Certificate of good conduct

    Electrician

    Responsibilities

    • Install new electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards and comply with safety regulations.
    • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes, using hand tools and power tools.
    • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
    • Work closely with production and maintenance teams and other teams to troubleshoot issues and improve the efficiency of electrical systems.
    • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
    • Participate in meetings to discuss upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and installations.
    • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on jo specifications and local codes.
    • Ensure that electrical tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair processes are properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
    • Stay updated with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to the industry.
    • Ensure implementation of changes as necessary to ensure compliance.
    • Provide guidance and support to other staff regarding electrical safety protocols and best practices is often part of the job.
    • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
    • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
    • Identify areas for improvement in electrical systems, processes, or equipment to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity within the manufacturing environment
    • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other equivalents.
    • Must have up to 3 years’ experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment
    • Must have expertise with PLC Controls.
    • Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
    • Excellent communication ability
    • Possess certification or equivalent qualification or license
    • Possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities
    • Must be able to use basic tools and machinery
    • Awareness of operational machinery problems in short proximity
    • Strong ability to read measure devices and blueprints
    • Critical Thinking: once a problem is identified, industrial electricians should be able to deal with it critically
