    Human Resource Officer

    About the job

    • Actively recruit new team members and manage the hiring process.
    • Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
    • Implement performance management across the company.
    • Perform bi-annual performance reviews.
    • Manage the payroll and salary reviews.
    • Develop training and development programs for existing employees.
    • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
    • Day to day employee management (attendance, leave management, medical insurance management, disciplinary issues etc).
    • Implement strong employee compensation and retention schemes.
    • Manage employees welfare and drive the Solutech culture across the company.

    Requirements

    • A degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
    • Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position.
    • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
    • Proper Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures in Kenya.
    • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of any HRMS is a plus.
    • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
    • Strong ethics and reliability.

    Marketing Executive

    About the job

    • Preparing and managing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the department.
    • Develop, lead and execute the Company’s marketing strategy.
    • Develop plans and targets (KPIs) for the department.
    • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
    • Plan, design, and lead marketing campaigns across the Company’s offline and digital marketing channels, such as email, SMS, and social media.
    • Work directly with the relevant departmental teams to translate software features into marketing content for both offline and digital marketing channels to drive traffic and engagement.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate the target market, current trends, brand position, competitors, and market gaps.

    Requirements

    • At least a degree in Marketing or any related field.
    • Professional Certifications in Marketing could be an added advantage.
    • Solid knowledge of Web Analytics, Google Adwords, and Digital Advertising.
    • Working knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO), lead generation and affiliate marketing practices.
    • Experience in Setting up and Automating Marketing Campaigns.
    • Good leadership, organizational, project management and planning skills.

    Software Engineer (Mid Level) - Laravel & Vue JS

    • We are recruiting a Mid Level Full Stack Software Engineer with excellent experience in Laravel and Vue Js to join our engineering team.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Develop, record and maintain scalable laravel applications both front end and back end.
    • Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the rest of the team in writing cross platform APIs for the different applications.
    • Support existing Laravel Applications and build unto them.
    • Meet with Project Manager to gather requirements and break down tasks.
    • Attend review meetings with clients to review progress and action plans.
    • Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
    • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
    • Train end users where necessary.
    • Coordinate with the rest of the team and keep project manager well-informed of the status of all tasks allocated.
    • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

    Requirements The Ideal Candidate

    • 3+ Years of experience with Laravel framework.
    • 2+ Years of experience with Vue JS framework.
    • Knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap etc.
    • Excellent understanding of MVC design patterns.
    • Strong experience in integrating with external web applications and writing REST APIs.
    • Strong database skills working with MySQL or any other relational database, including optimizing big and slow queries.
    • Experience in working with tools such as Yarn, Composer, Npm etc.
    • Great understanding of building scalable applications for user bases of over 10K+ users.
    • Experience in deploying web applications.
    • Strong understanding of using GIT for version control.
    • Knowledge in using Jira for project and tasks management.
    • Educational background: Computer Science, Software Engineering, BBIT or an equivalent. (Degree not a must)
