    Biosafety Officer NBA Grade 6- (12 Posts)

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer and will be assigned duties and responsibilities in any of the following functional areas:

    • Biosafety Licensing, Monitoring and Surveillance;
    • Border Management and Regional Offices;
    • Laboratory Services;
    • Biosafety Risk Evaluation;
    • Biosafety Awareness, Education and Capacity Building;
    • Biosafety Partnerships, Collaborations and International Obligations

    Job Requirement:

    For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological sciences, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Biosafety or relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

    Principal Administration Officer, Job Grade NBA 4

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Controlling and monitoring the use of official motor vehicles through work tickets
    • Coordinating transport staff and allocating duties
    • Coordinating contracted cleaning staff
    • Supervising fuel orders, issuing fuel cards, and preparing monthly fuel consumption reports
    • Assisting in identifying appropriate office accommodation and allocation of staff space
    • Providing tools, equipment, and ensuring a conducive working environment
    • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness for offices and associated facilities

    Job Requirement:

    • Evidence of Master’s degree in Public Administration, Transport Management/Logistics, Business Administration, Office Management, Social Sciences, Education (Arts/Social Sciences) or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration; Education (Arts/Social Sciences); Business Administration; Office or Fleet Management; Business Management; Health and Safety; or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
    • Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Principal Supply Chain Management Officer, Job Grade NBA 4

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans and preparing quarterly progress reports.
    • Coordinating procurement and disposal activities.
    • Providing input into the formulation of annual procurement and disposal plans.
    • Preparing contract documentation for goods, works, and services.
    • Liaising with user departments to ensure effective contract implementation.

    Job Requirements:

    • Evidence Master’s degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or related qualification from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or related qualification from a recognized institution
    • Membership in KISM or equivalent professional body in good standing
    • Demonstrated results in work performance
    • Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
