Position Summary
- Reporting to the Safety, Health & Environment Officer, the Assistant Safety, Health & Environment Officer will support workplace safety compliance, SHE inspections, incident tracking, emergency preparedness, HSE committee coordination, awareness training, documentation, and reporting. The role will help ensure compliance with company policy, OSHA 2007, NEMA, WIBA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
SHE Policy Support
- Assist in the review and implementation of safety, health, and environmental systems, policies, procedures, and corporate guidelines. Maintain emergency response plans, contact lists, and related documentation under supervision.
Compliance, Inspections & Audits
- Support routine HSE inspections, audits, and compliance checks. Monitor staff, visitors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to company safety rules, health guidelines, and site regulations.
Risk Management & Incident Tracking
- Assist in identifying workplace hazards, conducting follow-up inspections, tracking near misses, logging incidents, and supporting accident investigations by gathering preliminary data and statements.
Emergency Preparedness
- Support emergency response planning, coordination of emergency teams, fire drills, and safety preparedness activities across the organization.
HSE Committee Support
- Serve as the secretariat for the HSE Committee by coordinating meeting logistics, preparing agendas, taking minutes, circulating action points, and following up on implementation of recommendations.
Training & Awareness
- Support SHE induction training for new employees, contractors, and visitors. Coordinate training logistics for First Aid, Fire Fighting, Occupational Health and Safety, and other relevant safety programs.
PPE, Safety Assets & Records Management
- Track PPE stock, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, safety signage, and other safety assets. Maintain organized physical and digital SHE records for compliance and audit purposes.
Reporting
- Prepare routine daily, weekly, and monthly reports on safety occurrences, inspections, hazard registers, incident logs, and safety performance for review by the SHE Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Basic professional certification in Environment, Health and Safety or progress toward professional body registration is an added advantage.
- At least 1–2 years’ relevant work experience in workplace safety compliance.
- Good foundational understanding of EHS regulations and statutory compliance in Kenya, including OSHA, NEMA, and WIBA.
- Experience compiling data, updating incident trackers, maintaining safety records, and preparing compliance reports.

Position Summary
- Reporting to the Head – Human Resources, the Safety, Health & Environment Officer will be responsible for ensuring that workplaces are safe and healthy for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. The role will support compliance with the company’s Safety, Health and Environment policy, OSHA 2007, NEMA, WIBA Act, and other applicable regulatory standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Safety, Health & Environment Policy Management
- Support the development, review, and implementation of safety, health, and environmental systems, policies, procedures, and corporate guidelines in line with legal and company standards.
Compliance, Inspections & Audits
- Conduct scheduled and impromptu workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with SHE regulations, company procedures, and statutory requirements.
Risk Management & Incident Investigation
- Identify workplace hazards, recommend mitigation measures, track near misses and accidents, and investigate incidents to ensure corrective actions are implemented and recurrence is prevented.
Emergency Preparedness

SHE Committee Coordination
- Establish and support the Safety, Health and Environment Committee, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on implementation of committee recommendations.
Awareness Creation & Training
- Conduct SHE inductions for new employees and visitors, coordinate staff training on health and safety, first aid, and occupational safety, and communicate changes in relevant legislation to management.
Regulatory Liaison & Permits
- Act as a point of contact with regulatory authorities and support timely renewal of relevant SHE permits, licenses, and compliance documentation.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate SHE records and prepare reports on incidents, inspections, audits, improvements, and compliance matters for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Environment, Health and Safety such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) is highly desirable.
- At least 4 years’ relevant work experience in a dynamic environment.
- Good understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements in Kenya.
- Experience in conducting EHS research, investigations, risk assessments, and recommending practical solutions.

- Reporting to the Medical Centre Manager, the Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications, managing pharmaceutical inventory, supporting patient medication adherence, maintaining pharmacy records, and ensuring compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board requirements.
- The role operates within a fast-paced, 24-hour multispecialty outpatient medical centre and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, and patient-focused service delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Dispensing & Patient Care
- Receive, interpret, validate, and process prescriptions through the Electronic Medical Records system while ensuring accurate dispensing in line with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Provide clear medication counselling to patients, including dosage instructions, possible side effects, storage requirements, and food-drug interactions.
- Screen prescriptions to identify potential drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, contraindications, or dosage errors.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Monitor stock levels of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and medical consumables to ensure availability while avoiding overstocking.
- Track expiry dates, isolate short-dated or expired stock, support stock ordering, inspect deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and monthly stock takes to ensure stock accuracy.
Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with statutory requirements of the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Monitor and record storage conditions, including cold-chain management for vaccines and temperature-sensitive products.
- Support quality improvement activities, clinical audits, patient safety workflows, and proper documentation of incidents, medication errors, near misses, and adverse events.
Administration & Systems Management
- Maintain dangerous drug registers, dispensing records, statutory pharmacy documentation, and other required records.
- Prepare periodic pharmacy reports, workload statistics, consumption reports, and performance dashboards for management review.
- Support effective use of electronic pharmacy management systems and digital health platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from an institution recognized by the Government and the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Valid and current registration and practicing license with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ hands-on experience in a busy hospital, multispecialty clinic, or high-volume retail pharmacy environment.
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records and computerized pharmacy inventory systems is required.
