    Field Operations Associate

    Kofa is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Operations Associate to support the rollout and maintenance of our battery network and swap station installations. This role involves assisting with field operations, working with internal teams and third-party providers, and ensuring the smooth execution of operational tasks. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Field Operations Support:

    • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential new swap station locations, considering customer needs and operational feasibility.
    • Assist with the daily coordination of field activities to ensure operations align with company goals and timelines.
    • Support the installation and maintenance of swap stations, working closely with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations and Maintenance) providers.
    • Act as a point of contact for third-party providers supporting battery network operations.

    Monitoring and Issue Resolution:

    • Proactively identify and address potential issues or inefficiencies within the battery network and support the Network Management team in issue resolution.
    • Participate in on-call rotations including P1 incidents resolutions as and when required.
    • Conduct continuous assessments of swap station sites to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
    • Monitor Health & Safety issues in the field and report concerns to supervisors.

    Operational Efficiency and Reporting:

    • Assist in preparing daily and weekly reports on operational activities.
    • Identify and communicate potential inefficiencies in field operations.
    • Complete detailed incident reports as required, capturing risks and resolutions.
    • Maintain electronic records of all completed tasks and operational activities.

    Support and Collaboration:

    • Work with internal R&D and engineering teams to support equipment testing and rollout initiatives.
    • Act as a liaison between field operations and other internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, or a related technical field.

    Experience:

    • 1–2 years of experience in field operations, technical operations, or a related area (entry-level candidates with relevant skills will also be considered).
    • Familiarity with energy or network operations is a plus but not required.
    • Valid Class A2 motorbike driver’s license issued by National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).
    • Valid Class A2 certification issued by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a plus.

    Field Operations Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field associates, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational standards. 
    • Assign and monitor tasks, ensuring timely completion and high performance across the team.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for team development.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

    Field Operations Coordination:

    • Oversee the daily coordination of field activities to ensure operations align with company goals and timelines.
    • Plan and coordinate the rollout of swap station locations.
    • Collaborate with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations and Maintenance) providers to coordinate swap station installation and ongoing maintenance.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for O&M providers and other third parties supporting battery network operations.

    Operations Management:

    • Develop and implement new processes and procedures to optimize end-to-end operations and enhance the customer experience.
    • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies affecting the battery network.
    • Prepare daily and weekly reports on operational activities and team progress and document and maintain electronic records of completed tasks and operational activities.
    • Complete detailed incident reports as required, capturing risks, resolutions, and preventive measures.

    Monitoring and Issue Resolution:

    • Support the Network Management team in prioritizing and addressing issues within the battery network.
    • Respond to network and customer issues including P1 incidents as and when required, collaborating with NOC, Sales, Engineering, Customer Support and Customers as needed.
    • Monitor and address Health & Safety issues in the field, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

    Support and Collaboration:

    • Work with internal R&D and engineering teams to support equipment testing and rollout initiatives.
    • Act as a liaison between field operations and other internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Experience:

    • 3+ years of proven experience in field operations or related roles.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.
    • Familiarity with EPC, O&M providers and energy operations is highly desirable.
    • Valid Class T3 certification issued by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a plus.

    Business Development Director

    The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in expanding Kofa’s market presence across Africa. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and developing distribution channels that drive revenue growth and market share. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in driving business results, forging partnerships, and executing scalable growth strategies across diverse African markets.
    This role can be based in either Ghana or Kenya

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Business Development

    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across Africa, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and distribution channels that align with Kofa’s growth strategy.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that accelerates Kofa’s market expansion and diversifies revenue streams.
    • Lead market research efforts to understand emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, using insights to drive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
    • Position Kofa as a leader in the market through the creation of new partnerships and expansion of existing relationships.

    Partnerships and Relationship Management

    • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key partners, customers, distributors, and stakeholders across Africa.
    • Negotiate, structure, and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and alignment with Kofa’s strategic goals.
    • Identify and collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and service providers to enhance product offerings and create new value propositions.
    • Represent Kofa at key industry events, conferences, and forums to forge new relationships and expand the partnership network.

    Distribution Channel Development

    • Build and manage a robust network of distribution channels to ensure efficient market penetration and growth across multiple African markets.
    • Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Logistics) to implement effective go-to-market strategies and optimize distribution processes.
    • Identify, onboard, and support key distributors across Africa, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed and maintain brand integrity.
    • Monitor channel performance and ensure the successful execution of distribution agreements.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure business development efforts align with Kofa’s product offerings, branding, and operational capacity.
    • Work with the finance team to assess the financial impact and profitability of new business opportunities, partnerships, and agreements.
    • Provide feedback from partners and distributors to inform product development, market positioning, and sales strategies.

    Performance Metrics and Reporting

    • Track, measure, and report on the success of business development initiatives, including partnership performance, sales growth, and market penetration.
    • Develop dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the effectiveness of business development efforts.
    • Regularly update senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities in business development across the African market.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of driving business growth through strategic partnerships and channel development, preferably in an African context.
    • Experience in the energy, mobility, or related sectors is highly desirable.
