    Decorative Marketing Trainee

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    The Marketing Trainee will participate in the guided implementation of marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, as guided by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
    The opportunity is a One- Year training Program based in Nairobi, Kenya and reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager- Decorative.

    • Carry out assigned and agreed tasks and activities in order to achieve the purpose of the training program.      
    • Assist in creating localized brand campaigns and activities.
    • Assist in coordinating and executing promotional activities and product positioning.

    Decorative Sales Trainee

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    The Decorative Sales Trainee will participate in the promotion and selling of a range of Decorative products to potential retail and/or project customers, as guided by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
    The opportunity is a One- Year program based in Nairobi, Kenya and reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager- Decorative.

    • Create new customers by analyzing the market with guidance, plan visits to potential customers and swift response on quotations and inquiries from customers.

    Decorative Product Specification Specialist

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    Support the Sales department in enlisting Jotun products in specifications of projects by developing contacts with architects and consultants to ensure Jotun’s specifications are approved and followed at all project levels for profitable sales growth.

    The position reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager and is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Sales Manager in getting approvals on Jotun products for most projects in Kenya by providing necessary technical and commercial information to increase the chances of securing projects.
    • Maintain an updated database on all essential construction projects and architects in Kenya.
    • Build up a strong business network within the selected professional group of consultants, architects, designers, and project specifiers by initiating contacts to support Jotun’s specifications approvals by project decision-makers.
    • Identify and map projects in Kenya, influence the decision makers to ensure Jotun specifications are approved, and secure projects for Jotun’s business benefit.
    • Monitor construction and paint industry market status and use the collected data to support Jotun’s position in the market by promoting and implementing Jotun products and concepts to be the paint supplier leader in the market.
    • Support the sales team in achieving sales targets by securing approvals for Jotun specifications and updating them on project activities and status to ensure the successful completion of the sales process of Jotun to assigned projects.

    What we look for: 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Additional qualification in Interior Design, Fine Arts or Quantity Survey is preferred. (Diploma is acceptable)
    • 2 or more years' experience in similar role working with architects, contractors, developers, interior designers and construction consultants.
