    Business Systems Analysis Internship

    Responsibilities

    • Analysis of system requirements and preparation of software requirements documentation after careful elicitation and analysis of clients’ needs and business processes
    • Continuously evaluating procedures and processes and Identifying opportunities for improving business processes through information systems or process improvement
    • Mapping out all business and system processes, to achieve operational efficiency and smooth process flow
    • Working closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs, and work with key stakeholders of business dockets to move their processes online
    • Prepare and supervise system tests to ensure they meet the clients’ needs
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes
    • Communicate with heads of all departments about common frustrations, hindrances and other issues that interrupt their workflow
    • Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time

    Requirements

    • An undergraduate degree with at least Second Class Upper Division in Business Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution
    • Excellent documentation skills and ability to document requirements and specifications
    • Excellent knowledge of the software development process
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Good analytical skills and quantitative reasoning
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great accuracy, organization, attention to detail and follow-through

    Product Development & Service Design Internship

    Responsibilities

    • Own and track the product development cycle from concept creation, development, prelaunch and post launch activities
    • Conduct user research and identify innovation opportunities and trends in the industry and propose them to stakeholders for product enhancements.
    • Understand user needs, create personas, and map out the stages of their journey, and design service blueprints.
    • Collecting and tracking client issues and pain points collaborating with the other teams to ensure they are resolved and closed.
    • Provide support to client facing teams for quick resolution to client queries and engage with service providers to ensure prompt resolution of issues while they arise.
    • Documentation of process requirements and conducting usability acceptance testing to ensure process requirements are met
    • Review current product features and process flows and recommend process enhancements.
    • Research and propose on strategies that would drive product uptake and performance.
    • Prepare daily reports and periodic reports showing products uptake, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion
    • Perform such other duties as may be assigned to from time to time

    Requirements

    • A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in math and languages
    • A bachelor's degree with a minimum second-class honors. Candidates expecting to complete their degree work in the next few months are eligible as long as they will be available for the training
    • Demonstrated interest in financial technology and is willing to take a deep dive in understanding the intersection between technology and business
    • Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a demanding environment

    Application Security Engineer Intern

    Responsibilities

    • Perform static code analysis (SCA) on applications to identify vulnerabilities and report to software engineers for fixing
    • Set up and monitor applications for intrusion detection and protect applications against common vulnerabilities
    • Secure application infrastructure (servers and databases) against intrusion, ensuring they’re regularly patched against known vulnerabilities
    • Manage vulnerability reporting in all applications and systems, including open source software that the applications run on
    • Perform analysis of all security systems log files, review and keep track of triggered events, research current and future cyber threats, reconcile correlated cyber security events, develop and modify new and current cyber security correlation rule sets, and operate security equipment and technology
    • Perform software testing (patches, other updates)
    • Tracking and reporting vulnerabilities in server software by using tools such as CVE
    • Preparation of Weekly reporting of common vulnerabilities that affect our environment, as reported on various platforms (CVE etc.) and their mitigations
    • Ensuring that the Web infrastructure is monitored and actively protecting applications from common vectors
    • Monitoring servers for intrusion and performance
    • Ensuring all server software is updated and security patches applied regularly
    • Manage vulnerability reporting in all applications and systems, including open source software that the applications run on
    • Weekly tracking of all issues raised from penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and static/dynamic scans
    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or specialized training/certification
    • Experience in application security, preferably a software security role
    • Expertise with browser security controls (CSP, XFO, HSTS), web application security topics such as OWASP Top 10, and authentication infrastructure (SAML, OAUTH)
    • Experience building tools and processes to reliably identify security issues such as SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, and business logic flaws across large code bases
    • Must be familiar with Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks
    • A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in math and languages
    • Knowledge and/or experience with threat analysis and penetration testing methodologies and tooling
    • Knowledge of at least one programming language, web application technologies and frameworks is an added advantage
    • Knowledge of security issues affecting Internet-facing applications
    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and UNIX/Linux environments
