    Officers Club Manager

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Officers Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Officers Club, ensuring compliance with safety standards, staff training, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing all aspects of the Officers Club operations, including food and beverage services, customer relations, and event coordination.
    • Leading, supervising, and training club staff to ensure compliance with customer service standards equivalent to the Navy’s MWR Star Service, Achieving Extraordinary Customer Relations (AECR) program.
    • Maintaining full compliance with CNICINST 1710.3 - Chapter 1, Section 114 regarding the handling, storage, and use of hazardous materials within the facility.
    • Ensuring all club personnel complete current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
    • Monitoring and enforcing high standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety in all areas of the club.
    • Developing and implementing programs and services that meet the needs of patrons, promoting a positive customer experience.
    • Overseeing inventory management for supplies, equipment, and hazardous materials, ensuring proper usage, storage, and record-keeping.
    • Managing financial records, tracking budgets, and ensuring adherence to fiscal requirements and revenue goals.
    • Communicating regularly with patrons, staff, and other stakeholders to address and resolve concerns, ensure satisfaction, and improve service offerings.
    • Planning, promoting, and executing special events, catering services, and activities tailored to the needs of officers and guests.
    • Preparing and submitting routine reports regarding club operations, personnel training compliance, and customer service outcomes.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • At least two (2) years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage management, or facility operations, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification before employment begins.
    • Completion of or willingness to complete customer service training equivalent to the Navy’s MWR Star Service, AECR course.
    • Training or ability to obtain training in the proper handling, storage, and management of hazardous materials, in compliance with CNICINST 1710.3, Chapter 1, Section 114.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven ability to oversee and manage food and beverage services in compliance with safety and health regulations.
    • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Previous experience managing a military club, officers club, or a similar hospitality facility, particularly in remote or austere environments.
    • Knowledge of Navy MWR operations and standards, particularly as documented in CNICINST 1710.3.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, revenue reporting, and inventory control.
    • Prior experience in OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) or austere environments with multi-national workforces.

    Club and Activities Manager

    Job Summary

    • Under general supervision, the Club Lead coordinates activities required to operate Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities

    Principal Accountabilities

    (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

    • Provides exercise guidance, testing, prescription, and supervision to MWR users and teaches group exercise classes
    • Must meet the installation's minimum serving age for alcoholic beverages.
    • Capable of mixing drinks according to the established recipes. 
    • Understand alcohol safety procedures to prevent over-intoxication,
    • Knowledge of bar terminology.
    • Able to properly handle intoxicated patrons according to the installation's set guidelines.
    • Be capable of pouring and serving drinks such as beer and wine.
    • Manage purchases of alcohol using point of sale software and cash register.
    • Describe and serve dishes from the establishment's food menu.
    • Clean bar tools, glassware, utensils and equipment.
    • Open and close down bartending station.
    • Organize liquor according to bar's standards.
    • Ability to follow sanitation procedures pursuant to law with Army and Preventative Med requirements.
    • Ability to follow all procedures, Processes, and Policies. Overseas establishment's bar operation.
    • Ability to multi task bar operations such as: inventory control, ordering supplies, ensuring adequate supplies are available for special events.
    • Ensure staff is providing good customer service.
    • Manages the cash drawers assigned to each bartender and performs inspections on equipment to ensure equipment is functional and is in good operating condition.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Knowledge & Skills

    • CPR and first aid certification is preferred
    • Knowledge of exercise science, health and fitness
    • Good interpersonal and customer service skills

    Experience & Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience involving the coordination of organized team sports, recreation club activities, and social event scheduling. MWR armed forces experience preferred

    Physical Requirements/Working Environment

    • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
    • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
    • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
