    Senior Backend Developer

    Main purpose of the job

    As senior backend software engineer you are part of one of our developer teams working on core features of the platform. You are part of a multidisciplinary team including frontend engineers, cloud engineers, business analysts, designers and business owners. As a team you own your backlog and take pride in achieving results. Your main task is to deliver quality solutions for our end-users and at the same time keep the platform fit for the future. You guide and coach other team members. Our main technologies are Java, AWS, SQL, Angular and Android. You will be working with a diverse and driven team that prioritizes impact over cutting-edge methods. Yet at the same you continuously probe and explore new opportunities and technologies.

    Minimal qualifications

    1. MSc in software engineering or related
    2. At least 5 years plus relevant software development experience
    3. Experienced in Java and SQL
    4. Interest in global development and healthcare
    5. English speaking

    Preferred qualifications

    1. Have a cloud native mindset
    2. Experience setting up CI/CD tools and pipelines
    3. Experience with Github or Bitbucket
    4. Experience with mobile technology and development
    5. Security and GDPR are always part of your development cycle.

    Cloud Engineer

    Main purpose of the job

    As a cloud engineer you are part of the technical platform team creating, maintaining and developing our infrastructure for running our business and supporting our engineering. You guide and coach other team members. Our main technologies are Java, AWS, SQL, Kubernetes, DataDog, Terraform, Angular, and Android. You will be working with a diverse and driven team that prioritizes impact over cutting-edge methods. Yet at the same you and your continuously probe and explore new opportunities and technologies.

    Minimal qualifications

    1. MSc in software engineering or related
    2. At least 3 years plus relevant cloud engineering experience
    3. Experienced in AWS, Containers, Kubernetes and build pipelines
    4. Experience with Github or Bitbucket
    5. Interest in global development and healthcare
    6. English speaking

    Preferred qualifications

    1. Have a cloud native mindset
    2. Experience with DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (TerraForm)
    3. Ability to design and build CI\CD process
    4. Experience with at least one scripting language (bash/python/golang/JS)
    5. Ability to identify risks and propose solutions for their mitigation (following GDPR)
    6. Experience with developing solutions as part of a team

    Data Scientist

    Main purpose of the job

    Together with data analysts, engineers, and other data scientists, you will work on ideation, piloting, programming, productizing and monitoring of data-based use cases for both CarePay’s customers (Patients, Providers, Payers) and CarePay’s internal processes. Examples include detecting fraud throughout the whole patient journey, automating claims management, ML-driven customer segmentation and campaigning, ensuring data privacy for all users and for all analyses, deep-diving with analyses for different use-cases of the organization, and creating data pipelines to keep everything running. This work will be based on data infrastructure that is already set up and continuously improved. You will be working with a diverse and driven team that prioritizes impact over cutting-edge methods. We work within an agile framework with a strong focus on collaboration, transparency and quality with daily stand ups, peer code review, automated testing and other best practices.

    Minimal qualifications

    1. BSc in a quantitative field
    2. Proficient in Python, including experience with Data Science toolboxes (e.g., pandas, sklearn)
    3. Interest in global development and healthcare

    Preferred qualifications

    1. Applied data science experience including working with end-users
    2. Experience with SQL, Airflow, data visualization, data warehousing, AWS, software engineering
    3. Experience in translating business questions and using available data to arrive at an answer
    4. Experience with developing solutions as part of a team
    5. Experience with healthcare data
    6. Experience working in a highly competitive, international business environment

    Data Engineer

    Main purpose of the job

    Together with data analysts, data scientists, and other data engineers, you will work on the data infrastructure, build data driven applications and set up ELT pipelines. For example, you will be working on setting up our customer-facing data services, our Kafka-based event-sourcing pipelines, productionize a machine learning algorithm for fraud detection and further improve on our state-of-the-art ELT pipelines. This work will be based on data infrastructure that is already set up and continuously improved. You will be working with a diverse and driven team that prioritizes impact over cutting-edge methods. As far as tooling is concerned, our stack consists of AWS, Singer, Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, and Metabase. We prefer programming in Python and Java. 

    Minimal qualifications

    1. You are proficient in SQL 
    2. You are proficient in Java 
    3. You are passionate about global development and healthcare 

    Preferred qualifications

    1. You have a cloud native mindset and have experience with Kubernetes 
    2. You are proficient in Python 
    3. You have experience with Spring Boot
    4. You have experience with frontend development (e.g., JavaScript, Angular) 
    5. You have experience with Data Warehousing, Airflow, AWS, Kafka, DBT
