    Travel Logistics Specialist

    Primary Purpose

    This position is primarily responsible for day-to-day management of travel and Logistics project related activities within the unit in accordance with CWS policies and procedures. This position will uphold best travel practices while identifying cost-saving strategies, train, coach and mentor Travel & Logistics Officers in Nairobi and offer support to the Logistics Officers within sub-offic es in the region.

    Supervision

    This position directly Supervises Travel & Logistics Officers in Nairobi.

    This Position reports directly to the Travel & Logistics Supervisor

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field required.
    • Knowledge in International relations is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Eight (8) year’s work experience is required.
    • Experience in field team processing activities for various locations is preferred.
    • Experience in managing administrative roles is preferred
    • Experience managing travel budgets is preferred
    • Project management experience is preferred
    • Knowledge in Amadeus or other booking tool is an added advantage

    Cultural Orientation Trainer

    Primary Purpose

    This position is primarily responsible to provide cultural orientation training to refugees approved for resettlement to the United States. Trainings take place in urban and camp locations throughout SubSaharan Africa.

    Supervision

    This position reports directly to a Cultural Orientation Supervisor

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required or four years of directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

    Experience:

    • Six months experience in education or training required.
    • Two years work experience in any or a combination of the following is preferred: training; field work carrying out program activities; liaising with agency partners and/or vendors; logistical experience organizing field missions.
    • Relevant experience in the United States strongly preferred. Experience working with refugees preferred.

    Knowledge / Skills:

    • Demonstrated computer skills in database systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet

    Travel Logistics Manager

    Primary Purpose

    This position is primarily responsible for all Travel and Logistics functions for CW S Africa including strategic planning and management, providing consultation to management on projections and budgeting, organizing, coordinating, and controlling logistics activities. The position is responsible for developing, coordination and implementation of travel and logistics policies for CWS Africa operations and ensuring adherence to these policies. This position also provides technical support and oversight of logistical functions for CWS sub-offices across the region.

    Supervision

    This position directly supervises the Nairobi-based Travel Logistics Supervisor and indirectly supervises the Travel Logistics Specialists, Officers and provides support to the logistics units for CWS Africa regional offices .

    This Position reports directly to the Administration Coordinator.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, strategic management or international procurement is required.
    • Masters Degree in the same field is preferred.
    • Knowledge in International relations is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Eight (8) year’s work experience is required.
    • Three (3) years of direct supervisory experience is required.
    • Experience in field team processing activities for various locations is preferred.
    • Experience in managing administrative roles is preferred
    • Experience managing travel budgets is preferred
    • Knowledge in Amadeus or other booking tool is an added advantage
