    Brand & Creative Marketing Lead

    Description

    As a Brand & Creative Marketing Lead at Finserve, you have a passion for creativity, communication, technology and people. This role requires close interaction and collaboration with various cross-functional teams to contribute to the creative direction, communication and successful roll-out of our innovative products.

    RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Align marketing strategy to the overall business objectives and bottom-line
    • Direct and review the objectives of the marketing team with constructive feedback for improvement
    • Set quarterly marketing objectives and KPIs for each brand and review with the product teams to drive engagement and retention
    • Write briefs to guide the creative process and align internal marketing teams and external partner agencies on goals and overall strategies
    • Build strategy, design and project management of 360-marketing campaigns (including PR, content and events) that disrupt the market, raise awareness, convert and delight customers
    • Collaborate with our talented design, development and product teams to integrate our marketing campaigns within the customer experience of our consumer brands
    • Spearhead and drive initiatives that elevate our customer and service experiences, sharing best practices across our organisation and network
    • Enhancing and improving upon our internal culture program, iServe. Creating companionship and a collaborative attitude for the entire Finserve team
    • Develop the framework, nature and standards of the corporate and consumer brands to and align with the values, culture, tone and voice
    • Analyse the key business drivers, trends and performance indicators alongside competitive threats and opportunities
    • Brainstorm, plan and execute marketing plans with tools and metrics for reporting and analysis
    • Create and edit content and templates that meet the style, tone and format for an evolving audience
    • Construct and carry out a user retention program for the consumer brands, offering exciting value to re-activate dormant customers, reward HVCs, and so much more

    REQUIREMENTS – WHAT YOU NEED

    • Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, statistics or any related field

    • Ability to take on team leadership and cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external partners
    • Integrated project management skills and organization
    • Highly skilled in verbal and written communication including storytelling 
    • Native understanding of digital advertising (direct video, mobile, paid social, display, rich media, VOD) with strong grasp of marketing / media analytics and how to apply data to test and optimize campaigns

    Usage And Retention Manager

    Description

    The position holder is responsible to develop and maintain an optimal Products and Services portfolio in alignment with company strategy and segments’ needs to ensure sustainable business profitability for the company. Also Support the implementation of products and services strategy by ensuring effective development, delivery and management of products and services (voice, SMS, Data etc) through optimal processes, in order to offer the best experience to customers and to maintain profitability in line with company’s business plan.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a base management strategy (including a retention strategy) to maximise customer lifetime value and customer base revenue contribution to the overall revenue of the company.
    • Define overall churn management strategy and operationally drive pro-active and reactive retention activities along the customer lifecycle
    • Define and execute base development programs and revenue booster initiatives to achieve growth in customer base ARPU through targeted and segmented offers, campaigns, and pricing.
    • Analyse commercial impact of BTL programs on product penetration, ARPU and volume/ value churn.
    • Monitor and assess the market, competitor activity and technological development and propose development of relevant products.
    • Understand customer needs and develop and fine-tune systems accordingly through appropriate systems / processes / procedures

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 3 years of sector, industry or area of specialisation preferably in retail intensive B2C industries
    • Experience in leading change / transformation (marketing) at an operational level advantageous
    • Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices
    • Experience in customer value creation
    • Experience in campaign management

    Macroeconomic Modelling Analyst

    Description

     In line with enhancing career progression of staff and to support business growth, we seek to recruit a well-qualified, experienced, self-driven, highly motivated and passionate candidate to fill the role outlined below within the Special Projects Department.

    The ideal candidate will be involved with macroeconomic research analysis and econometric models development for executive and relevant business unit decision making. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

    • Macroeconomic research and key ratios analysis (Global, African, EAC / Kenya/ County Governments)
    • Developing econometric time series data models and model risk  management e.g. Interest Rates, Forex rates, Inflation, GDP etc
    • Preparation and publication of the bank’s monthly/quarterly  Economic Research bulletin.
    • Performing strategic competitive intelligence, peer performance, external Environment PESTEL analysis,  Game Theory Analysis – Undertand top competitors; strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, approach to compete and win
    • Identifying macroeconomics opportunities and performing risks analysis
    • Thought Leadership branding of the bank on macroeconomics perspectives
    • Analyzing policy and legal regulatory risks, preparing written submissions to regulatory bodies and providing guidance to business units on regulatory issues e.g. CBK MPC, Interest rate capping, PSD2, GDPR, Basel3 etc.
    • Obtaining County/Sovereign/ political risk analysis for Group and subsidiaries
    • Developing monthly Assets and Liability Committee (ALCO) Macroeconomic briefs.
    • Periodically carrying out industry, investor & customer confidence level surveys
    • Conducting detailed financial modeling, business opportunity assessments and other financial analyses to support strategic decision making.
    • Conducting feasibility research for entry of new markets and industries feasibility  e.g. Platform economy ecosystems business models.
    • Interpreting and summarizing analysis of key macroeconomic events like budget reading for EAC countries, economic surveys, household survey, vision 2030 MTP, County strategic plans, global index, IMF FAS and country credit ratings.
    • Development of strategic policy frameworks for ALCO, CEO and Board – Deliver executive level presentations to enhance strategic decision making and support recommendations
    • Designing, populating and maintaining proprietary macroeconomic database for the bank.
    • Model performance review using technologies  like KS (Kolmogorov Smirnoff  Statistic and AUC (Area Under the Curve), model stress testing and back testing knowledge.
    • Forging relationships with senior level leaders internally and within external partners
    • Presenting analytics proposals, solutions & key insights/recommendations at strategic level.

    • Capability to know the power of branding the Bank through macroeconomic thought leadership 
    • Survey questionnaire method, ARIMA modelling, Cross section and panel data methods  
    • Mastery of key data science tools including R programming, Python, Statistical softwares (SAS, SPSS, Epi Info etc)

    Communications Executive/Manager

    The graphic designer will support Finserve Africa by being responsible of conveying the company’s internal and external messages. The new hire will create strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity. Externally, they communicate with the media and other interested parties to announce new products and discuss organizational changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the company. They report to the Brand and Creative Marketing Lead.

    Key Duties and responsibilities

    • Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success.
    • Develop briefs based on approved business cases from relevant teams.
    • Meet with business owners to determine the scope of a project and decipher a brief for easier execution.
    • Develop print materials and branding strategies for internal and external use. 
    • Co-ordinate deliberations and brainstorming sessions with Equity Group communications teams on Go-To-Market strategies.
    • Other duties may include issuing press releases, arranging interviews, and compiling press kits.
    • Write and deliver internal industry reports on a monthly basis.
    • Key person in charge of storage and dispatch of marketing collateral e.g. fliers, posters, banners etc.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or a relevant field.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing or communications role.
    • Excellent speaking and writing skills and must be proficient at working with others.

    Qualities and skills

    • Excellent communication skills, especially written: ability to convey ideas in a clear and concise way.
    • A strong eye for visual composition.
    • Strong written/oral communications, research, proofreading and leadership skills.
    • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to think analytically and strategically
    • Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
    • Familiarity or experience working with CRM software is an asset.
    • A good understanding of marketing, website design, corporate identity, and multimedia design.
