Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and highly skilled SEO Manager to drive organic growth across our client's digital properties. In this senior-level role, you will own the SEO roadmap, define and implement SEO strategies, and work cross-functionally with Digital Marketing, Product, Tech, and Brand teams to embed SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints.
You should possess deep technical expertise, strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, and a proven track record of driving measurable SEO success.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated based on achievements in the following areas:
- Organic Traffic Growth: Increase in website sessions from organic search (MoM & YoY).
- Keyword Rankings: Improved rankings for high-priority keywords (Top 3 & Top 10).
- Conversions: Growth in conversions driven by organic traffic.
- Technical SEO Health: Improvements in Core Web Vitals, error resolution, and crawl efficiency.
- Content Performance: Boost in impressions, CTR, and traffic from optimized content.
- Backlink Profile: Growth in high-quality backlinks and domain authority.
- Project Execution: Timely delivery of SEO initiatives with measurable impact.
- Cross-Functional Impact: Effective SEO integration across internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic SEO Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business goals.
- Own the SEO roadmap from ideation to execution and performance evaluation.
Technical SEO Excellence
- Conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes to improve site architecture, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, and indexability.
- Collaborate with Tech teams to ensure technical implementations follow SEO best practices, including schema markup and server-side optimization.
On-Page & Content Optimization
- Lead keyword research and competitive analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
- Optimize website content, meta data, internal linking, and media assets.
- Partner with content and brand teams to ensure SEO-aligned content development.
- Identify opportunities for content gaps, featured snippets, and schema enhancements.
Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Design and manage a link-building strategy focused on acquiring high-quality backlinks.
- Monitor and manage the backlink profile, disavowing toxic links as necessary.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Create SEO dashboards and generate performance reports.
- Analyze data and present insights, results, and recommendations to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation
- Advocate for SEO best practices across all departments.
- Stay updated on algorithm changes, trends, and tools to maintain a competitive SEO edge.
- Foster SEO education and training within internal teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of SEO experience, with 2+ years in a strategic or leadership capacity.

Litigation & Case Management
- Lead and manage complex litigation matters from end to end, ensuring strategies are outcome-focused, commercially sound, and aligned with client objectives.
- Draft high-quality pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and strategic insight.
- Provide innovative legal solutions to high-stakes disputes, balancing legal rigor with business sensibility.
- Continuously optimize workflows and case management processes to drive efficiency and performance.
- Proactively manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective outcomes.
- Monitor case performance using key metrics (e.g., case outcomes, client feedback, turnaround times).

Qualifications & Skills
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
- 5-7 years post-admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution, with a proven track record in handling complex, high-value matters.
- Exceptional legal drafting, research, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Strong client management and communication skills, with a reputation for responsiveness and reliability.
- Experience mentoring and managing teams, with a passion for developing others.
