    Tech Support Engineer

    About the role

    We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of computer science, excellent customer support fundamentals, and a genuine desire to grow. This job’s purpose is to provide support to the business operations through technology by providing standards, skills, experience & guidance in implementing the most efficient techniques to achieve the company vision & mission. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential.

    Responsibilities

    1. Identifying hardware and software solutions
    2. Identifying and supporting in the purchase of new technology equipment
    3. Troubleshooting technical issues
    4. Managing vendors and inventory for the technology department
    5. Diagnosing and repairing faults
    6. Resolving network issues and manage the internal call management system/ equipment
    7. Installing and configuring hardware and software
    8. Provide both onsite and remote technical & end-user support
    9. Following up with customers and staff to ensure the problem is resolved
    10. Replacing or repairing the necessary technical parts
    11. Supporting the roll-out of new applications
    12. Providing support in the form of procedural documentation
    13. Testing and evaluating new technologies
    14. Conducting electrical safety checks on equipment

    Experience

    1. Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
    2. Strong networking skills, hardware, and software troubleshooting skills
    3. 4+ years working experience in a busy technical environment
    4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
    5. Excellent critical thinking skills
    6. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, employing effective time management and organizational skills

    Chief of Staff

    About the role 

    We are entering hyper-growth mode. The team is scaling fast and complexity is increasing on a daily basis. The Chief of Staff (CoS) will work directly with the CEO to manage the ever growing complexity with a focus on people, process, and fundraising topics. This role will expose you to all facets of building a business and is a perfect role for someone who wants to themselves be a founder one day. For the first 12-months, the CoS will be mostly internal facing and take ownership of:

    • Project management of both the finance and product functions 
    • Building and running the investment management process 
    • Strategic people operations to ensure employee NPS of at least 40
    • Helping each person on the management to build scalable processes 
    • Running a mini-PMO (project management office) to ensure the management team is executing on their strategic initiatives

    In addition, the Chief of Staff will lead the execution on the highest priority strategic initiatives for the business. This role will be dynamic with ever changing priorities. A fun ride filled with infinite learning opportunities! 

    Who you are

    • Experience running their start-up (whether successfully or not)
    • 2+ years of experience in a fast-growing start-up in a mid to senior level management role
    • 2+ years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm (MBB, Big 4, OCA, Cross Boundary etc.)
    • 2+ years of experience in a portfolio management role at a top tier investment firm

    Head of Product

    Description

    We are looking for a Head of Product to direct multiple product developments and ensure a high return on investment (ROI.) You’ll translate ideas into strategy and features and follow product development from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. If you’re also confident and have a knack for knowing what ideas will and won’t work, we’d like to meet you.

    Responsibilities

    • Co-create product vision and road map
    • Lead product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams
    • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision
    • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
    • Produce and review product requirements documents (PRD)
    • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps
    • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
    • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
    • Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end-users

    Requirements

    • Genuine interest in helping small and medium restaurants
    • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in startup companies
    • Extensive experience in product lifecycle management
    • Background in software development and program management is preferred
    • Expert level experience and certifications within/around Agile/SCRUM frameworks
    • Proven organizational and leadership abilities to take products to market

    Your role

    As an MBA Fellow, you will work closely with the founders and the global team to streamline operational processes and lead special projects.     About the role 

    Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the profitability of the business by acquiring and developing long term sales goals of hotels, restaurants, cafes and institutions. In detail you will;

    • Manage the HoReCa sales representative while keeping the motivation level high by having the right professional positive attitude. 
    • Manage the sales of all company products to hotels, restaurants, cafes and institutions – dry and fresh. 
    • Train new HoReCa sales staff and providing coaching lessons along with market visits.
    • Prepare valuable analysis to provide focus on the growth of the business and identify the reasons for any de-growth in the business.
    • Focus on enhancing the existing business and target new potential customers to develop the business.
    • Be involved in the company’s interdepartmental meetings with Supply Chain, Products, Finance, Marketing & Operations departments etc.
    • Monitor competitor’s activities in the market and counter it by proposing necessary measures and attractive proposals to our clients so that our competitors may not take over our market share.
    • Follow up with customers for payment collections from the market as per the company’s agreed credit terms and coordinating with the Finance Department.

    Sales Representative (General Trade)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Focus on growing the number of quality weekly active restaurants ordering with Kibanda, retaining existing customers, and revenue of both dry and fresh goods (beef, fish, chicken, and vegetables) in assigned territory.
    • Identify market opportunities in order to implement effective market penetration strategies that will yield positive results.
    • Consistently manage high service levels in the trade to ensure company and customer satisfaction.
    • Build relationships with customers in order to support Kibanda’s sales, marketing, and PR activities.
    • Manage placed orders effectively to ensure zero cancellations due to sales-related issues to reduce financial losses to the company.
    • Adhere to the route plans that have been designed by your team leader.
    • Reporting – share daily reports highlighting each day’s achievements against set targets.
    • Monitor and report all competitor’s activities in the market so that Kibanda can devise ways of staying competitive in the market.
    • Track daily outlet visits using the company’s FieldPro system against the set target per day

    Knowledge, skills and Job attributes

    • Minimum of a Diploma in a business related field
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales in FMCG industry
    • Good  knowledge of Nairobi market and the general trade retail landscape
