    Assistant General Manager

    Job Objective

    Responsible for formulating, developing and implementing effective ICT strategy, management policies and procedures, administering daytoday operations and coordinating all departmental activities to obtain optimum ICT value.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identify and implement appropriate IT technologies to meet the short and long term PCK business requirements Manager the departmental budgeting processes and directing the proper and effective utilization of the same.
    • Identify and forge strategic IT relationships with key potential partners for ongoing project implementations and support.
    • Provide expert extensive contact with the executive management staff of PCK to identify and prioritize key IT initiatives.
    • Formulate and enforce all the PCK ICT security policies in conjunction with the other departmental heads.
    • Establish plans and strategies in development of training and educational programs in ICT for the user departments.
    • Provide leadership towards the achievements of set targets in ICT departments.
    • Adhere to the corporation policies, procedures and business ethics and ensure that they are communicated and implemented.
    • Perform a wide range of systems analysis and programming work involved in the development, implementation or modification of various applications to meet current business demands.
    • Conduct complex and comprehensive feasibility studies and detail designs; establish standards and programming processes; recommends and implements system improvements as needed.
    • Document new and existing systems and coordinate system development activities and data processing services in liaison with user departments.
    • Coordinate development and implementation of new ICT based innovations in the corporation in liaison with other departments.
    • Stimulate solution identification and development of new ideas with staff on IT based solutions.
    • Train employees in work procedures, standards and safety practices, and review work in progress or upon completion for compliance with standards.
    • Provide field support to ICT staff and monitor their performance to ensure smooth running of the ICT systems.
    • Develop a sound financial budget for the department
    • Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at building the capacity of individuals and Multidisciplinary teams.
    • Serve as a member of the executive management of the corporation, participating in making decisions on all matters relevant to the running of the corporation.
    • Ensure effective implementation of ISO processes and procedures.
    • Perform any other duty as assigned by the Postmaster General.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Bachelor’s degree in ICT
    • Professional ICT Certification by Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent;
    • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
    • AdvancedLevel Proficiency in Managerial Skills (Planning, Organizing, Controlling, Directing, Cocoordinating)
    • 15 years of relevant experience, 5 of them in senior management
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

    Manager ICT, Infrastructure & Network

    Job Objective

    Providing direction, strategy, planning, security and support for Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Data Center, Servers and Desktop Systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Formulate the implementation of solutions to the Network and Hardware infrastructure requirements based on the business needs of PCK.
    • Provide expert advice across a range of information technology areas including, Telecommunications, Systems and related applications
    • Provide strategic evaluation for Network and Hardware selection to support PCK business requirements and supervise the technical execution of those solutions.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with PCK’s policies and applicable laws.
    • Direct IT Section budget planning.
    • Provide leadership in designing IT risk mitigation solutions.
    • Conduct, review, recommend and implement security requirements for applications, file systems, operating systems, networked resources, networked communications devices and protocol usage.
    • Ensure adequate backup and support on IT network system.
    • Coordinate followup problem analysis and determine corrective action.
    • Lead Systems and Telecommunications Support Teams within ICT Services.
    • Provide technical and professional expert in systems and telecommunications.
    • Lead in development of the systems and telecommunication technical policy and strategy.
    • Ensure effective implementation of ISO processes and procedures
    • Perform any other duty assigned by the controlling officer.

    Requirements for Appointment.

    • Bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent
    • Professional ICT Certification by Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent;
    • Relevant Master’s Degree or Professional Postgraduate Diploma;
    • Proficiency in computer applications;
    • Served in a senior position on ICT Networking / Infrastructure Engineering for a minimum of 3
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Manager, Fleet and Logistics

    Job Objective

    Management of logistics and maintenance of the Corporation’s fleet, monitoring fuel consumption, coordinate licensing, insurance, undertaking physical and technical inspection of vehicles before and after repair.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Development and implementation of fleet policy and logistical plans
    • Coordinate country wide fleet availability maintenance and fuel consumption
    • Provide technical know how in the process of purchasing new fleet
    • Oversee the sale and/or auction of used vehicles as and when due
    • Regularly report expenses and performances of the fleet to Management of the cooperation
    • Participate in recruitment and deployment of drivers, registering of vehicle maintenance garages, fuel      suppliers and other related suppliers.
    • Draw up a budget for the  logistics and fleet section for further analysis and approval
    • Ensure compliance of the corporation with government regulations pertaining to the transportation industry
    • In consultation with legal department ensure all vehicles are inspected, insured, and licensed.
    • Ensure accurate and complete accounting reporting and that internal control systems are functioning and all relevant records pertaining to the section are maintained.
    • Oversee the development and implementation methodologies and tools to enable effective execution of fleet and logistical plans.
    • Coordinate transport management.
    • Ensure effective implementation of ISO standards, processes and procedures
    • Perform any other duty assigned by the controlling officer

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile Option) or equivalent;
    • Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage;
    • Performed duties of fleet management in a senior position for a minimum of 3 years;
    • Proficiency in computer applications;
    • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
