RESPONSIBILITIES

• Measuring and managing maintenance and repair performances to ensure targets are met.
• Ensuring that workforce is trained and available to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ensuring labour utilization is optimal.
• Ensuring technical documentation is updated in a relevant manner.
• Identifying supplies needed for various maintenance repairs and projects, and make necessary requisitions with approval of the Operations office
• Supporting execution of capital projects.
• Performing and coaching problem-solving methodology.
• Planning work for skilled trades.
• Promoting and enhancing a positive working environment through teamwork and high level of employee involvement.
• Ensuring ongoing feedback and coaching of the team to optimize performance levels.
• Ensuring adherence to the site and corporate Safety. Quality and maintenance SOPs and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance supervision, project support, and resource management.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning, equipment management, and operational best practices.
• Experience in supervising teams and coordinating maintenance activities in a busy operational environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Test qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Practical experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs, preferably within a fleet, transport, logistics, or workshop environment.
• Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults.
• Knowledge of vehicle servicing procedures.
• Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
