    Senior Financial Advisor – Venture Capital & African Startups

    Key Responsibilities

    • Fundraising & Capital Raising
    • Lead fundraising efforts for venture funds and African portfolio companies, securing commitments from investors.
    • Develop and execute capital-raising strategies that align with market trends, investor interests and Renew Capital’s investment thesis.
    • Identify and engage HNWIs, family offices, institutional investors, corporate VC arms and impact investors in Dubai, London and global markets.
    • Craft and deliver compelling investor pitches, proposals and financial models, articulating the unique value proposition of Renew Capital and startups.
    • Investor Relations & Deal Structuring
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with investors, ensuring regular engagement, reporting and transparency.
    • Conduct due diligence on prospective investors, assessing investment preferences, risk profiles and strategic alignment.
    • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and deal structuring best practices.
    • Manage the end-to-end fundraising lifecycle, from lead generation and pitch development to term sheet negotiations and fund closings.
    • Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Prepare financial projections, fund performance reports and return analysis for investors.
    • Develop clear, data-driven insights to track fundraising progress and evaluate capital-raising strategies.
    • Advise African startups on financial structuring, capital strategy and investor engagement best practices.
    • Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion
    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with investment firms, foundations corporate partners and ecosystem players.
    • Represent Renew Capital at global investment summits, VC forums and networking events to expand the firm’s investor network.
    • Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging investment opportunities across Africa.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or financial advisory, with a strong track record of raising capital.
    • Proven success in securing investment commitments from institutional investors, HNWIs and family offices.
    • Strong financial modeling, investor presentation and fundraising strategy development skills.
    • Deep understanding of venture capital, fund structuring and early-stage investment ecosystems.
    • Existing network in Dubai, London and key financial hubs, with direct investor connections.
    • Excellent negotiation, relationship management and deal structuring expertise.
    • Ability to work across multiple geographies, balancing investor relations with African market dynamics.
    • Experience in blended finance, or emerging market funds is a plus.

    Senior Project Manager – Private Sector & Investment Programs

    The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects stay on track, bottlenecks are removed, and teams are aligned. This is not a research or policy role—it’s about delivering results through rigorous project management, operational efficiency and structured stakeholder coordination.

    Responsibilities

    • Project Planning & Execution
    • Develop and maintain structured project plans, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and accountability.
    • Track progress, identify risks, and proactively solve problems to keep projects on schedule.

    • Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency

    • Problem-Solving & Decision Support
    • Apply structured problem-solving techniques to overcome execution challenges.

    • Identify and address gaps in execution, team alignment, and operational processes.
    • Performance Tracking & Reporting
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
    • Implement project tracking tools and reporting frameworks to ensure visibility into progress.
    • Provide concise, data-driven updates to leadership and external stakeholders.

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5+ years of experience, including work with a top-tier consulting firm or in high-performance project management roles.
    • Strong project management expertise, with a track record of executing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven ability to identify and solve bottlenecks, keeping teams and projects aligned.
    • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, capable of producing high-impact reports, presentations and financial models.
    • A high degree of adaptability, emotional intelligence and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging senior executives and funders.
    • Experience with project tracking tools, OKRs/KPIs and performance management systems.
    • Familiarity with the private-sector, startups or donor-funded programs.
    • Open to both expatriate candidates and African nationals with strong professional networks and international experience.

    Sr. Consultant, Private Sector Development Projects

    Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing and driving the execution of a key development project by achieving results and meticulously delivering on all project milestones
    • Developing and leading a team of project analysts
    • Continuously improving and managing a collaborative company-wide M&E and reporting system that effectively captures the social impact of the firm, particularly in the area of gender equality
    • Helping to develop and facilitate Renew Capital’s core gender-smart programs by training SMEs both virtually and in-person
    • Liaising with Renew Capital’s asset management team to design and test interventions that fulfill project requirements and ultimately result in SMEs attracting growth capital from a variety of funding sources
    • Providing coaching and technical assistance to a consortium of entrepreneurs looking to scale their companies and persist through various cultural and economical hurdles
    • Preparing and reviewing project reports for clients that demonstrate Renew Capital’s social impact results in a compelling and beautiful manner
    • Managing communications with clients and running internal and external project meetings
    • Creating, improving and driving the organization’s adoption of Renew Capital’s consulting project tools, systems and processes
    • Reporting to and collaborating with Renew Capital’s executive management team on a regular basis to continuously improve SOPs and efficiency in delivering project results

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in business administration, finance or development is preferred
    • 5+ years of management consulting and/or finance experience. Consulting experience in both the private sector and with an international development firm focused on gender equality is a plus
    • Experience managing grant-based projects
    • Proficiency in writing reports in English
    • Strong project management skills – certification in project management is a plus
    • Exposure to the finance or private equity world
    • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint ability
