    Finance Assistant

    Department: Finance.

    Reporting to: Head of Finance

    Job Group/level/grade: N/A

    Job Description:

    Project Accountant will facilitate the achievements of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project financial activities and providing technical guidance and advice to staff on finance and compliance principles.

    Duties and responsibilities

    1.  Preparing for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
    2.  Prepare donor reports on a monthly basis.
    3.  Verify all vouchers and invoices and pass them for approval.
    4.  Verify invoices vouchers and all support documents from suppliers and third parties before payment is affected.
    5.  Keeps close track on the designated funds and ensure proper recording and posting to the designated accounts.
    6.  Strictly work within the donor budgets
    7.  Verify the authencity of the entries in the ledgers and other books of accounts.
    8.  Prepare annual budgets estimates
    9.  Preparation of monthly staff payrolls, cash flows, trial balances, bank reconciliation, statutory deductions and tax returns
    10.  Assist in donor grants and project management & Maintenance of fixed asset register
    11.  Ensuring adherence to appropriate accounting systems
    12.  Ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and accounts and submission to the donor
    13.  Ensuring that the banking procedures are followed strictly and reports bank balances to the administrator
    14.  Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor


    QUALIFICATIONS

    1.  Must be a CPA 111 Section 6 certified.B.COM in finance or banking an added advantage
    2.  Must have not less than 3 years’ experience in a similar position
    3.  Proficiency in accounting software packages e.g. QuickBooks,Sage and high level of computer literacy.
    4.  Team player, committed Christian
    5.  High degree of integrity, confidentiality and dependability.
    6.  Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

    Job Summary:
    The AICHM Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for the design,
    coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning
    framework of the Projects. He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to
    improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the Project. He/she will also
    provide technical assistance to the implementing agencies, particularly in relation to
    monitoring, reporting and governance issues.
    Specific duties:

    1. Setting up the system:
    2. Assist in the revision of the project log frame matrix, particularly in the areas of
    3. performance indicators and their measurement;
    4. Assist in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it
    5. updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant.
    6. Develop the overall framework, for project M&E, for example mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, develop project  Performance Monitoring
    7. Plan with relevant data collection systems.
    8. Review the quality of existing data in the project subject areas, the methods of,collecting it, and the degree to which it will provide good baseline statistics for impact evaluation.
    9. Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators.
    10. With collaborating partners, review their existing approaches and management information systems and agree on any required changes, support and resources.
    11. Develop a plan for project-related capacity-building on M&E and for any computerbased support that may be required.
    12. Organize and undertake training with collaborating partners on M&E as required
    13. Implementation of M&E and coordination:
    14. Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
    15. Check data quality with partners.
    16. Maintain and administer the M&E database; analyse and aggregate findings.
    17. Support project progress reporting, project mid-term review and final evaluation.
    18. Identify areas where technical support to project partners is required. Organize refresher training on M&E for partners as required.
    19. Identify lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project.
    20. Provide advice to the supervisor on improving project performance using M&E findings.
    21. Communication:
      1. Produce reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as required.
      2. Provide the Project Manager with management information she/he may require.
      3. Check that monitoring data are discussed in appropriate forum and in a timely fashion in terms of implications for future action. If necessary, create such discussions to fill any gap.
      4. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and the Director of AICHM

    Qualifications requirements:

    Education: A degree in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field. Advanced certificate in M&E, statistics or economics preferred.

    Experience:

    1. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities of international development projects.
    2. Experience in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
    3. Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.

    IT Officer

    Job Summary:

    The ICT function is responsible for providing professional, technical and operational support for Systems, Infrastructure and ICT services relating to acquisition, development, management and other ICT resource decisions across the departments.

     The ICT Officer will report to the Senior ICT Officer

    Duties and responsibilities:

    1. Giving support in installation and configuration of computer systems and Local Area  Network components;
    2. Giving support in maintenance of application systems;
    3. Maintaining up-to-date equipment and issuance register;
    4. Giving support in administration and maintenance of users in the Active Directory, e-mail server and User applications;
    5. Provision of web management services


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    2. Relevant minimum of 2 years working experience including management of hardware and software platforms, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications would be desirable
    3. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Office 2010, 2013, 2016 and/or newer versions) and experience in handling of web-based management systems is required
