    Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Gender Justice Program Coordinator

    Purpose of the Role:

    • As the SRHR and Gender Justice Technical Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to support the SRHR and Gender Justice Technical Lead in coordinating and managing the implementation of our organization's strategies in sexual reproductive health rights and gender justice. You will provide essential technical support, assist in project management, and contribute to the overall success of our SRHR and Gender Justice initiatives.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Technical support:

    • Support the SRHR and Gender Justice Technical Lead in providing technical expertise and strategic guidance.
    • Aid in the development of position papers, policy briefs, and concept notes related to SRHR and Gender Justice.
    • Contribute to the design and execution of innovative strategies and methodologies in SRHR and Gender Justice.

    Project Coordination and Monitoring:

    • Work closely with the Technical Lead to ensure the alignment of projects with the organization's overarching strategy.
    • Assist in developing and monitoring detailed implementation work plans and project budgets.
    • Help monitor project progress and analyze data to identify any deviations from planned objectives.

    Partnerships and Advocacy Support:

    • Assist in identifying and engaging strategic partners and stakeholders.
    • Support the design and implementation of advocacy initiatives in collaboration with partners and members.
    • Contribute to external representation efforts and participate in relevant advocacy spaces.

    Network Coordination and Capacity Development:

    • Coordinating the establishment of a strong learning and knowledge-sharing community among network members and partners in SRHR and Gender Justice.
    • Coordinating with international SRHR and Gender Justice partners for capacity development activities.

    Essential Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Gender Studies, Sociology, Community Development, or Development Studies.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, women's rights, or gender justice.
    • Understanding of SRHR and Gender Justice issues and the ability to provide technical support in these areas.
    • Proficiency in project coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of advocacy strategies and the ability to contribute to external representation efforts.
    • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages such as French or Arabic is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and support senior leadership in achieving organizational goals.

    Program Coordinator - Peace, Just and Inclusive Communities

    Overall Purpose of the Role

    • The Program Coordinator for Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Communities will facilitate the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at fostering peace, justice, and inclusivity within diverse communities, with a particular focus on leveraging interfaith collaboration. The role would involve advocating for the values of peace and inclusivity, while promoting understanding and respect for diverse religious and cultural beliefs. Collaboration with partners and stakeholders is central to your role, as you oversee interconnected projects and initiatives.

    KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Project planning and Implementation:

    • Coordinate project planning meetings with partners and identify capacity building needs.
    • Contribute to the production of program reports and materials.
    • Facilitate events, workshops, and seminars in consultation with partners.
    • Foster regular communication with project staff and local partner organizations.
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with relevant CSO partners and stakeholders. Conduct analytical reviews and capture lessons learned from project implementation.

    Monitoring & Evaluation:

    • Support the design and implementation of an M&E plan and tools for the Peacebuilding program.
    • Contribute to baseline and end-line evaluation processes.
    • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the context and responses among CSOs and state actors.
    • Assist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Knowledge and Learning:
    • Organize regular review meetings with the Peacebuilder community and partner organizations.
    • Support partners in tracking outcomes and changes resulting from program implementation.
    • Plan and conduct specific research as required and agreed with the Program Manager.

    External Representation:

    • Expand and maintain a list of potential partners and stakeholders.
    • Represent Faith to Action Network in relevant platforms, fora, and working groups.
    • Contribute to policy influencing through advocacy at local and international levels.
    • Responsible for designing and implementing advocacy strategies that address social issues and promote the principles of human rights and social inclusion.

    Resource Mobilization and Grants Management:

    • Identify and track funding opportunities from potential donors.
    • Assist in proposal writing processes.
    • Monitor grant reporting deadlines and compile reports.
    • Support donor outreach and fundraising activities as needed.

    Education

    • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as international relations, peace and conflict studies, social work, sociology, or a related field.
    • Specialized education in areas such as human rights, interfaith studies, or community development may also be advantageous.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 7+ years' experience in peace, conflict transformation, governance, or related fields, including demonstrated experience in peace program management and project coordination within nonprofit or advocacy organizations.
    • Advocacy Expertise: Proven track record in designing and implementing advocacy strategies focused on peace, justice, and inclusivity, with previous involvement in interfaith collaboration projects. Interpersonal and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal and analytical abilities, with a focus on managing partner initiatives and fostering stakeholder relationships at various levels.
    • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project design, management, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, along with excellent administrative, organizational, and planning capabilities.
    • Value Alignment: Strong commitment to the values of peace, justice, and inclusivity, with an open-minded approach and respect for diverse religious and cultural beliefs.
    • Advocacy and Partnership-Building: Familiarity with advocacy techniques, adept at building partnerships, and skilled in negotiation, with a capacity to conduct context analysis using Conflict Sensitive/Do No Harm approaches.
    • Leadership Abilities: Ability to inspire and mobilize diverse groups toward the common goal of creating peaceful and inclusive societies, with a commitment to Human Rights values and principles.
    • Cultural Competence: Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural environments, with the flexibility and adaptability to work independently and under pressure, including a willingness to travel as required
