    Housekeeper

    Role Summary

    Provide high standards, leadership and supervision of cleaning and laundry services.

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Maintaining inventory of linen and other instruments.
    2. Facilitate and perform regular fumigation for pest control.
    3. Ensure patients linen and curtains are always neat.
    4. Facilitate regular cleaning and disinfection of drains.
    5. Supervise daily cleaning and guarantee cleanliness standards of the Hospital are met
    6. Supervise daily laundry operations as per hospital standards
    7. Receive and collect used linen and clean as per the standards of procedure
    8. Responsible for day-to- day operation and coordination of the Housekeeping section
    9. Ensure that all deployed resources are effectively and efficiently used.
    10. Operate all machinery used in housekeeping and the laundry department, washer, dryer, press machine and dish washing machines
    11. Support all hospital staff in infection control and prevention
    12. Perform garment maintenance and care of all linen

    Qualification

    1. Diploma in Housekeeping and Laundry service or Hospitality Management
    2. Two years’ experience preferably in a Hospital.
    3. Good Communication skills and a Team player
    4. Must be clean and orderly
    5. Certificate of good conduct

    Kitchen Stewarding Manager

    Role Summary

    1. Safely assist in the kitchen and serving patients.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
    2. Follow cleaning schedules of the kitchen and all equipment.
    3. Adhere to health and hygiene regulations to ensure efficient infection prevention control
    4. Assist the chef in all kitchen duties

    Hospital Gynecologist

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct consultation and medical procedures after getting the consent from patients or their attendants.
    • Assess patients as required and write detailed reports in the case notes.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests; and provide information regarding patient conditions Communicate effectively with patients and clients.
    • Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality and ethics; abide by the Kenyan Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board regulations.
    • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
    • Providing input in various internal committee meetings on matters relating to clinical services e.g. Quality assurance, infection control, MAC etc.

    Qualification and Key Competencies

    • Specialist Recognition by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board.
    • Registered, licenced, and retained by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board, with a current private practising license.
    • Have a current indemnity cover
    • At least two years post graduate working experience.
    • Excellent written and spoken English.
    • IT knowledge and experience with computer applications.

    Anesthesiologist

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Administering pain relief before, during, and after medical procedures
    • Monitoring patients’ vital signs during procedures
    • Supervising anesthesia assistants and certified registered nurse anesthetists
    • Approving general, sedative, regional, or local anesthetics
    • Reviewing medical files and lab results
    • Informing patients of risks associated with anesthesia

    Qualifications

    Paediatrician

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Examine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.
    • Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns.
    • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
    • Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
    • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.
    • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians.
    • Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary. Provide consulting services to other physicians.

    Qualification and Key Competencies

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent degree from a recognized University with a Postgraduate qualification (Master of Medicine) in Paediatrics.
    • Certification in PALS or EPALS will be an added advantage

    Critical Care Nurse in Charge

    Role Summary

    Provide leadership, quality, safe and comprehensive critical care services.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensuring training and high standards of critical care are observed and adhered to.
    • Provide the right skill mix to ensure patient safety in every shift.
